Snowing in Louisiana...80 miles from the gulf
Re: Snowing in Louisiana...80 miles from the gulf
The snow was sure purdy to look at, but damn, Houston drivers FREAKED OUT. They drove all sorts of different ways. Everyone was loafing in the left lane, some with hazards flashin away, some riding the brakes, some with their horns beeping. Yeah, no kidding. No one went anywhere near the speed limit. Nothing was slippery, just wet from the flakes melting. People must have thought I was nuts, and driving like a bat outta hell, when I did the speedlimit. Sure is nice knowing how to drive in snow, being a MN native and all.
Worst part of the evening was realizing that there were peope running around naked, flapping their arms like crazy people, and looting was rampant.
Of course it's all gone now, but everyone is all a twitter about it and the focus of all small talk conversations. Bah humbug!

OMG - you guys are so spoiled. We got a full foot of snow yesterday in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My Crossfire is tucked away in the garage. We also had a transit strike in the city yesterday so for most of us, it took us about 3 hours to get to work and another 3 hours to get home. It was an exam day for college students so I spent the day picking up stranded students. Thank god I have a Jeep Cherokee to sub for the Crossfire in the winter.
So who wants to keep a Canadian stowed away for the winter? I can cook, wash your car, tutor your kids, and I don't talk back.....much. I have my own sunglasses and sun screen.

almost Canadian...hmmmmm.
I drive Lucy quite a bit - all summer long and have taken several long road trips. Mileage is about 29,400. Time for new tires.
My winter Jeep is Dezi, they make a good couple.
As you can see from the pics, I am not as fastidious as some in this group, I have yet to take a toothbrush to my exhaust pipes, maybe this winter.
My ex and I stayed at the nice yellow bed and breakfast and the staff were very interested in the car.
I did not buy the vanity plate, and I sometimes get sick of guys pulling up beside me and flicking their lighter...
My ex is now in Phoenix - which is why he has that status...I hate the cold and snow...why am I still here?
