Re: My 2005 Roadster Limited
The $11,000 you quoted seems low.
My friend has a license to purchase autos at wholesale run by ADESA. ADESA runs auctions at over 60 auction sites all over the U.S.
I just checked the wholesale prices for 2005 X/F from September 20 to October 31.The average wholesale price for a 2005 X/F with 24.400 to 30,00 miles was $13,800
I found one 2005 limited roadster with 30,000 miles for $15,000 auctioned in Atlanta.
These are actual prices paid by wholesalers both franchise dealers and other independants.

Re: My 2005 Roadster Limited
I wish to in no way denegrate your Roadster, but I bet you would not have got 16 thousand as a trade for your car, if you had been buying a less exspensive car than an XLR. If you had traded it on a new Impala, they would probably not have given you that sort of price for your car. There is a kot of room for dealers to play with on high priced cars, especially now.
Re: My 2005 Roadster Limited
Did you leave a small note in a hidden place that the next owner will find with the forum address?
Maybe someone will show up and post pics of their "new Crossfire"! Then you can enlighten them on the lineage of the car.
I recently went out and checked out a SRT-6 for someone, I stuffed a piece of paper into the bottom of the cupholder with the crossfireforum.org address written on the bottom of it.

Though I don't know CrossfireLTD other than another poster on this site......every pic I've seen of that car was gorgeous. (for a while it was my wallpaper on my work laptop!)
Even the posts from the man have led me to believe that he took meticulous care of the car.
Look at the pics in his gallery......that car will sell all day long at well over 16k!
Re: My 2005 Roadster Limited
Apkano....thanks for the compliments and the honor of being your laptops wallpaper!!!!! I did leave a note for the new owner under the trunk panel....stating what the car has in/on it and to contact me if they have any questions, and also to register with this forum.
No offense taken, the prices on the XLR's have kind of tanked like our Xfire's. I was in the right place at the right time, I think that I would have gotten the same treatment no matter what I bought at thier Dealership. I have also contacted the Wholesaler and offered him $10.5K for the car, I should have an answer by mid week if they will accept the offer. If not this coming Spring I will be looking for another Xfire Roadster, hopfully an SRT6 that has been pampered.
