I just want to buy my car...
I just want to buy my car...
back in July I got the paperwork to convert my lease to a loan and through a series of unfortunate mishaps (a death in the family and some surgery) it took a while to get all the paper work in. Now they tell me I have to do it all over again because (for example) the way my name is written on my insurance card doesn't exactly match my registration. So, now I have to go through all this all over again - including getting some papers notarized (a PIA) so that the loan will go through. I've NEVER had so much trouble getting papers singed (I got three mortgages easier than this!).
If I didn't like the car so much (and if I wasn't 10,000 miles over the lease), I'd give it back to them...

Re: I just want to buy my car...
This reminds me of another thread regarding trouble with a lease buyout..........

Keep working through it cause in the end it will be worth it.

Re: I just want to buy my car...
Thanks Gary for forwarding the thread to me. I've been under the weather the past few days. I sure share Gibson Junkie's feelings (probably on guitars too but thats another life story we'll have to talk about some time). the treatment you get from Chrysler Financial really just wants to make you say "take the car I don't need it that bad". They don't care, with all the GM talk going on I have to figure that a good portion of the company isn't real happy right now and it really shows in their work. Hope things are straight for you Gibson Junkie, I just got my title last Friday, it was a welcome sight. Chrysler has nothing more to do with my car now other than the extended warranty I bought from them, wonder how soon it'll be before GM has to honor it?
