Default Question for Aussie Roadster Owners...

G'day all

According to the manual that came with my '05 Roadster, the central console should lock with everything else (doors, boot etc). My central console doesn't lock, and a dealer here in WA just tired to tell me it isn't meant to lock.

I was wondering if this feature wasn't included with export Crossfires sent to Oz... So - does your central console lock???

Cheers

Mate, if the manual says it should work, then something is broken. I'm sure that Karmann doesn't have issues with you Aussies, I'd be looking at the fuse panels...

The center console will lock...but only with the top DOWN. Normal locking the car will not work. It will lock if you take the top down ..and lock the car with the key button. ALSO, the glove box...you don't have to lock with the top down. Try it.... Top down...lock the car. The center console will lock...and if you open the glove box... be ready..the alarm will go off !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion - but no joy. My centre console does not lock, top up or top down.

As much as I appreciate the suggestions and comments from my North American 'cousins', I have yet to hear from an Aussie...

C'mon Aussie, c'mon !!!!!!

I just want to confirm without a doubt that the Oz compliant Roadsters have a locking centre console....

Cheers
