Default Top Gear - Bad Attitude

I'm really tired of the synical and degrading attitude Jeremey Clarkson takes not only on the Crossfire, but of all the cars he reviews. Does anyone know of an American TV review of the Crossfire ? Although he makes some valid points it all seems negative in tone to me. I'd like to see an
American car review of the Crossfire either the coupe or roadster.

The main thing that they realy didn't like is the steering and I can see where they are coming from. the grip level it has is great butwhen I've pushed it there is a point where you don't get the feed back you get out of better sports cars.

I also like Top Gear and find the guys hilarious.

It is unfortunate that these journalists have the opportunity to drive the worlds best cars and then they consider these cars "the standard" to which all others must measure up to. 99% of us do not need "world class performance" to be able to enjoy their daily driver.

I have driven faster cars, I have driven smoother cars, etc. I have pushed the Crossfire harder than I should and am not that annoyed by the steering. I always felt completely in control with the car well planted. I enjoy the Crossfire for what it is and nothing more; a beautiful, reasonably priced, well performing machine that makes me smile!

When Jeramy said that he liked the Crossfire Roadster, I smiled, again.

I really do love Top Gear- my favorite car show by far. I did feel that they were way off base by calling the Crossfire "cheap" and then not knocking the 350z for how cheap it feels. To me, the 350z (interior at least) feels like it was made from Tupperware and Lego bits compared to the Crossfire- which looks and feels like the Benz that it is.

Yeah I was disappointed that they did not test an SRT as well. It almost fealt like they were trying to make it look bad! Although Jeremy did say better things about the roadster than the coupe.

They don't want to have to admit that they LOVE an "American" car.

I like the show & watch it all the time.

I am getting a bit tired of Jeremey dissin' the 'states. If he thinks that everyone here has a "burger in hand". Perhaps he should lay off the bitter and chips. His waistline is not exactly slim.

I do wonder how extensively he has explored our country? I've only ever heard him mention Alabama and Florida. This would not be very representative.

I do like to hear his opinions on cars, though!

He didnt like the 350z either. Actually in the test between the tt, crossfire and z, the z's traction control button broke off into the console.

I've never heard the guy give a positive review to any car that wasn't conceived and produced in Europe !

I wouldn't call it exactly "positive", but on this last show/rerun, he did pick it over the Audi TT V6!

Of course, the way he put it, one would think he is just a cheap b**tard!

May's glowing comments about the radio immediately told me I shouldn't take their review too seriously.

BTW, if you guys don't want to see a car criticized, please watch Autoweek. Thank you.

it's not considered an american car, cuz the biggest parts of the car( chassis and drivetrain) are mercedes, and the complete car is built in germany.

second, the SRT6 is a slk32 and that was tested.

The entire point of top gear is to enjoy watching them drive high end cars like they should be driven. they are funny as hell to boot.

Duh, that's why I put "American" in parenthesis. It only carries an American badge and styled by Americans.

It's good to see that "Ed Asner" has found work though.
