Post Help on Modifications!

Hey everyone, im new to the forrum and have a 2005 Limited Roadster, been trying t find simple things to begin with to help with hp and stabilization of my crossfire. Ive been told to weigh the back end to stop from the fishtail effect i get in the rain. Any other ideas on things that are simple and low price on the budget scale to a point for performance and looks? I would love any ideas and help, since in my search i have found very few things listed for our cars. Also, i was told a air intake wouldent do much help on the engine due to the straight in air flow we are already receiving, anyone getting diffrent numbers with the custom intakes. Thanks
Vamp

Fishtailing in the rain? Just leave the traction control on unless you want to live a short life! As far as air intakes, ours are way too restrictive and there are decent gains. Just look over your intake system some time and see all the bottle necks. There are many upgrades listed in this forum and all you have to do is just use the search engine.

You will come to find that performance upgrades for our cars are not cheap. The "Needs Wings" custom intake set up will give you some hp gain as well as a new exhaust and ECU chip/flash. As far as fishtailing in the rain, check your tires, I have the Conti's and have never fishtailed in the rain.

Found that out the hard way. I accelerated on a wet and uneven road surface only to have the passenger side rear wheel hop traction around 35mph throwing the rear of the car out hard to the right. I countersteered and slid sideways at about 75 degree angle until the car slowed enough for me to correct. Luckily it was about 2:00am and nobody was around.

Open diff + Crap tires = Dangerous.
