Default hidden coin holder and center console lock

sure most of you already know this - but i just found the hidden coin holder in the ashtray - thats cool
and i finally realize that the center console locks when you turn on the alarm system so i can leave the top down and have a locked area.. probably lots more
guess i am just learning my new car - should probably spend more time looking at the owner's book.

Wow, didn't know about the center console. I'm glad I browsed through the Roadster section. I'm still also learning after the month of owning mine. Thanks!

I read about the locking center console but with no buttons on it I assumed I did not have that feature on my roadster ltd. After reading these posts I went to the garage and locked the car and sure enough the console is locked. Had the car for a year and just learned this. THANKS!!

Did you know that if you deposit exactly $2.37, in the hidden coin holder a trunk monkey will climb out of the trunk and clean the dust off of your front wheels?

That would be funny! I'd much prefer they take care of the bird droppings.

I'm pretty sure the glove box also locks automatically on the roadster.

if you hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for 3 seconds the windows will roll down.

For bird droppings you must deposit $4.13. All Trunk Monkey functions are covered in the German manual under, Trunkinstdat Primatestruden.

I've had my 2005 roadster for 4 weeks, now. I found the hidden coin holder right away, while looking for a place to store a gum wrapper, but it took me two weeks to figure out that the gas hatch locks when the car is locked!

Cool Re: hidden coin holder and center console lock

All of these locking features are extensively covered in the manual under the Central Locking System, which is able to be disengaged...but I didn't read any of it - I do think the glove box also locks though. Is the window down thing for real? I'm going to try tonight...

I want that monkey to clean the brake dust - everything else isn't too difficult...where in the German manual is that command and how much?

You guys crack me up!

Dan

So we have the hidden coin holder, center console lock and if you press both buttons on the key fob the windows go down.

Any other secret hidden treasures on my 05 Sapphire Blue Beauty I should know about? Greatly appreciate your discoveries.

Now a question, at one time I opened the passanger door and an alarm went off. No idea how and no idea why I have not be able to duplicate. Is there a switch on the console (tow hook) that I need to switch on and off?

Cool Re: hidden coin holder and center console lock

Does anyone understand the lock/unlock button on the console? - I noticed that it does not work if the car is off - you hear something move but it 'aint' the locks...
