I have found that it holds my clothes from the cleaners after moving the seat forward and tilted forward...Also tried putting a zip tie on it and it holds more hangars and seems to work good.

Keep looking. I usually pop it while knealling on the ground with the passenger door open. It's a great place to store your wallet and other small valuables if your going, say, to the beach or the pool for a while.

exactly, it is difficult to find for a reason. most german cars have a hidden security "box" for small items.

My Roadster center console locks when the car is locked, handy when top is down.

I loved it when I discovered the coin holder! Those of us who are new owners (I am now 3 months in) continue to find the not-so- hidden- because -they- are- in- the- owner's- manual info, but that is not the easiest manual to absorb. I carried it with me everywhere for the first 6 weeks! Now I am more courageous but if I have left it in the house when I am on the road - not so good!

I was somewhat reassured when (whom I think is a longer time owner) discovered that the radio will keep playingn when you turn the motor off if you do a certain sequence. The first time it happened to me, by accident, I was afraid I would lose my battery (which could happen if the battery is old) and the radio would keep playing forever. I grabbed that manual and found deliverance! Alicia
