Price Check!
I am looking at a 2008 limited convertible, siver with grey interior no nav system. They are offering it to me for 28,900 +tax and tags. In addition they can give me the unlimited miles and unlimited years maxcare bumper to bumper for an additional 1400, what are everyone's thoughts?

What can you afford? Obviously if you can afford a 30k vechicle you can pretty much afford any crossfire on the market...
Do you have to have it new? You can get RIDICULOUSLY good deals on used crossfires, they are going for SUPER cheap.
Are you getting an automatic or manual??
Have you test driven it? Do you need more power? There's also the SRT-6 Conv's which are more rare and A LOT faster.
You could find an SRT-6 Conv with a little bit of miles on it for $25k, put 3k$ worth of mods on it (and that's being generous) and that car would FLY.
All in all, you need to ask yourself why are you buying this car, and for what purposes?
There's many great deals to be had if you do not need a "new" car, but if you do.. well then the choice is fairly simple.
Just my 2 cents, I try to stress looking at srt-6's in every post like this because I know I as a few others have gotten a limited and crave more power.. some traded theirs in and got srt-6's, some cannot do that like me.. only seeing them and wishing "if only..."

That is what counts. Check out XF pricing in your area and find out all you can about the car to make sure its what you want and if it is make a deal YOU are happy with and enjoy a great car. I did and I still love mine.
Re: Price Check!
Unless you want a new one. Great deals out there with few miles on 05 and 06. No difference in body, style or accessories. I would have preferred an SRT-6 but timing was off. I paid last year less than 16K with less than 20,000 miles for an 05 roadster. And for $150 got the 7/70
Re: Price Check!
I think you can work a better deal than that. I have an 05 na roadster and an SRT6 coupe. Because I enjoy the performance the SRT6 is my preference. I have seen the 08 and they do not appear to have any major difference between the 04-06. You can find low mileage examples for a lot less than the 28,900 they are asking.

Re: Price Check!
Not anyone has mentioned that the full drivetrain warranty is in effect for the 07 and 08 models which are exactly the same as the 05 and 06, coupe or roadster, the only changes are that the 04 was only made in coupe form and the LTD had everything in it. There are some great prices mentioned, I've yet to find one, with low miles for such a great price. I looked at an Aero blue roadster yesterday, with 17,000+ miles. It was listed at $17, 450. When I called on it, they said it was $20,000. I still went to look at it and drove up in my Alabaster Coupe with the two tone interior and they almost crapped thier pants. I drove the roadster and found the front tires were Falkens and the rears were conti's, Threw the handling off as well as the balance. The cup holder was broken, the door pull had a burr that would cut an inexperienced driver pretty badly. no floor mats, the air compressor was gone and the engine bay was filthy. The brakes were bad and the front rotors were scored. Not a great presentation and they lied about the price.
Obviously, I was a bit angry at thier attempt to sell me this POS. So I told them all that was wrong and when they asked if I wanted to make a deal, told them they'd have to give me money to take that car. Even if they fixed it. The fact of the matter is, they will probably leave it as is and sell it that way to an unsuspecting person who will, in turn, hate the car.
It wasn't a Chrysler dealer either, it was a hyundai joint. Cross selling high end cars. MB's and Beemers.

Re: Price Check!
There are new Roadsters and Coupes being sold at great prices - search EBay - I just purchased a brand new '06 at 40% off list from a dealer - never titled - the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is driven by the date the car is sold - so mine also has it...the prices have started to creep back up on the new ones I've seen - maybe because the supply is dwindling...but they're still available - the dealer I bought mine from (on EBay) paid to fly me in, picked me up at the airport, and the deal was a good one - communication after the sale proved to be a bit diffiicult but a couple of calls to Chrysler and one to the Sales Manager at the dealer seemed to work and I received the answers I was seeking - still, even if they would have ultimately gotten me angry by not responding, I have a brand new Crossfire with all of the depreciation gone - pure enjoyment from my standpoint - you'll love one if you get one!

I got a similar deal last year on my '06, with Employee discount and no B2B.. - so it seems like you are in the right price range for a new '08.
Re: Price Check!
Just bought mine. New 2006 Roadster limited, 18 miles, black / ceder, manual, nav, ASP tires, new, Lifetime MaxCare plan, delivered to my door.
Out the door $27, 980.06. Car was $24,900. If I had not done the lifetime maxcare it would have been just the taxes and one dollar for temp tags.
I have been looking for an Xfire for a year almost to the day as it's my son's bday and I remember getting into them then.
I think the 2006 deals are drying up and I've been looking all over the country for a red one that would deal. This dealer still has a very few 2007's loaded and 3 2006 roadsters. His prices also went up by $900 in the past 3 days.
I've also seen that local dealers with 2007 and 2008's are starting to move them. I was working with a local dealer on the same car with auto no nav, had 7 2006 roadsters on the lot forever. I thought I could get him to do the same price as I found on ebay and he was biting. I could not get there that weekend and waited. He moved 4 that weekend including the one I was looking at. He would not deal on the other 3 and they do not have the ASP tires.
Need to wind down. I'm so gald I finally pulled the trigger and I've not even seen the car I'm buying. I've driven several tho so I know what's coming.
Point is, I think if you want a good deal and still have some kind of selection nows a good time. It may get tight with slim pickins thru this summer.
This may be it boys and girls, get the best toy bargain on the market today while you can.....

Re: Price Check!
I already own an 04 coupe, Alabaster white with black and cedar int. I LOVE the car. The point I was trying to make is that I was looking for a roadster but can not find one that I like at the price I want to pay. I know they are out there, I just have to keep looking. My 04 will run circles around a Solstice. I wouldn't even consider another car. Either a yellow or saphire blue with the black and cream interior. The yellow is the 1st choice. There are other options as well. In a way, I'm glad the prices are going up, it shows that the driving public is noticing the value these cars represent.
