What on earth are all those O'rings on the roadster oil filter?
What on earth are all those O'rings on the roadster oil filter?
Just looked up the K&N oil filter for the bat-mobile. They showed me a picture of an element and 5 O'rings of various diameters. Where do they go? Is that something you can change out yourself in your garage?
Also, while I'm at it any wisdom of K&N over OEM? Looked in the filter book for Fram at WallyWorld and they don't even show one...tnx mates

Now you must replace the 4 o-rings on the shaft. Use a small screw driver to remove all of the old o-rings.
Coat all 4 new o-rings with some motor oil and install on the oil filter shaft.
I know some of these filters come with 5 o rings but only 4 are used on the Crossfire.
I have been doing it this way and no issues in 12000 miles.

Those orange white or blue cans stuck to the engine somewhere like a big blisters don't give the same feel of seriousness do they. A Mercedes is a Mercedes.
