I have a pleasant smell coming thru a/c...wonder why
Bought my Xfire with 10,130 miles on the clock. It was a lease and in very good shape. I have been all over it like a little **** roach since I bought it and have only found two things worth mentioning. One good one bad.
1. I still have that rattle on the drivers door when I hit ruff spots on secondary roads (top up or down, windows up or down) I need to consult a mechanic who is familiar with the Xfire to see if it might be locking mechanism wear...that one is still up in the air.
2. I notice that the a/c puts out a very pleasant smell. It smells like some kind of cologne and I like it. Any other car I've had after 10,000 miles usually puts out a musty nasty smell until the a/c cools down and drys out those pipes. But this one starts out by putting out a very pleasant smell. I am wondering if this high dollar Mercedes based bat-mobile has a feature for the owner to apply a scent of his choice somewhere in the a/c system so those upper crust folk don't have to smell unpleasant smells while the a/c is coming up to speed...anyone know about that?
My crossfire is a piece of art. Makes me nuts...cannot imagine why it is being discontinued...

On the OTHER hand, a really rotten thing to do to someone who's pi##ed you off is drip a little hunting lure (Fox Scent for example) down the fresh-air intake for the A/C. It doesn't go away for a long. long time.

My cars ac and heat smell like Abercrombie Fierce. What I did was spray it alot in the car and then ran the heat with it pulling air only fom the inside of the cabin. This has made the vac system smell. It really does work. Im sure it would be mofe effective to just spray it on the cabin filter

I took it to the dealer and they checked it out and had to change the shocks before the problem was solved!!!!!!!!

As far as I know, the only cars equipped with a factory installed fragrance dispenser are Citroen. Like any other fragrance dispenser, the cartridge must be replaced to keep that fresh scent....Available in different scent, including I pretty sure "new car smell"

Been looking for the vacuum cleaner deodorizer tabs to install in my cabin air filter everywhere, and all I get is that deer in the headlights stare when I ask about them.
