I sent an email to Karmann and asked if they could tell me how many 2005 SSB limited roadsters were built with the 5 speed automatic. I thought that the best part of the response was something that I never expected - they knew that I lived in the same town as the home of the Corvette.

Too bad they can't provide more detailed info on what was built.

I don't know what the "MY" means.

our records show 1,456 MY 2005 Crossfire Roadster vehicles in that color built for the U.S. market.
No breakdown on engines and transmissions available, though.

Quite daring anyway, driving a Crossfire Roadster in a place that boasts to be home to the world's only Corvette plant ..... ;-)

Maybe they can provide us with a detailed breakdown of all the colors of xfires.

I would be interested in that figure. Based on RPM's breakdown percentages of the Number of SRT'S he has in his data base, I would guess less than 400 since there are around 928 total roadsters. I think he had a number around 39% black SRT's. RPM would know better.

Well, I've had (3) of them myself, that leaves 1453 for the rest of you all.
Karmann is better with info on our cars than Chrysler, why am I Not surprised!

 

While you're emailing Karsten why not get the complete list for all Crossfires built per color! SRT6 also, and how many sold in the states, of each.

Also note the response on SSB roadsters is specific to the U.S. Market. Whereas the SRT-6 total (928) is a world-wide figure, I believe.

Sure would be nice to have a complete breakdown by colour, model and market....
