Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
I chose my exterior color of yellow because I felt it was rare. Prior to purchasing my roadster, I think I only found around four yellow roadster for sale on the Net. It was fate that brought me and my yellow XFire together. I was ready to test drive a white 04 coupe, when I asked the dealer if he had any other XFires in stock. He told me he had a black one but sold it. Then he asked me to wait a minute because there was two car carriers entering the dealership as we spoke. I could hear the trucks driving by the front of the dealership when my friend told me there was a yellow convertible on one of the trucks. The rest was history.
Now as I peruse the gallerys at the forums, I see a few yellows but not many. This makes me curious as to how many members of the forum have yellow roadsters. Another question I have is was yellow available in '06, 07, and 08. Let's hear it from the yellow roadster owners!

Well I guess there's a few more yellow roadsters out there besides mine. I haven't seen too many of them as I've gone through the galleries.
This brings up another couple of questions: How come coupes weren't offered in yellow? Is there any other factory color on a coupe or roadster that wasn't an option on both models? Just curious, thanks.

To my knowledge the yellow was only in the roadster in the US. It may be that the coupe was offered in yellow in Europe but I had asked a member or two who lived there if they had evern seen one, no they hadn't. There is a picture of a yellow coupe in this gallery;

he found it on the Chrysler Europe or UK site. I tried to get my husband to buy us the coupe too, but so far the closest I'm getting is painting the 1/18 coupe model from red to yellow.

Re: Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
Hi,
After several months of procrastinating about finally getting one ...on April 26th we picked up a 2007 yellow convertible Crossfire. We live in Ottawa and bought it in Toronto so we made a weekend trip of it also.....Flew down to Toronto, had fun, and drove back home.
I test drove the Crossfire when they first came out...just in a coupe and since then I have wanted one....well I finally can afford to have a summer car and there was no doubt about what it would be and the color...YELLOW ...the car looks so good in that color...WOW!!! Now it's home and I love driving it! ! !

Hi Bob
It seems the Chrysler rear badge was on all 2006 models here in the UK.
I ordered one from my local dealer About ($45.00) and put it on myself as we liked the look of it.
I Beleive there are not many Yellow Crossfires in the UK as I was informed the Colour did not sell very well.
If you go on www.autotrader.co.uk post code HD4 5NS and search there are one or two for sale here in England however have been told they are no longer making the crossfire.
Is this True ?

Re: Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
As far as I know, Crossfires are no longer being manufactured, and the 2008 models are actually left over from prior years. It is such a great automobile but became a victim of poor marketing and the break up of Daimler and Chrysler. Some day they will be a rare car. Time will tell if that rare status will make them more valuable.

Re: Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
I like the particular shade of yellow used to paint the Crossfire. It is somewhat of a pale yellow and I like that as compared to other bright or dark yellows I've seen on different makes of automobiles. A yellow XFire stands out in a crowd of cars. It is an attention getter when it comes to sport cars. Would I want another style of vehicle like a SUV or a large sedan in yellow? I would have to say, probably not, but on a sports car it looks marvelous!
The next time you are at a place where there are hundreds or maybe thousands of cars parked see if you can spot a yellow car. Chances are you won't see one. You'll see silvers and blues, beiges and whites, a spattering of reds but no yellows. I would like to think there are few yellow cars because it is a rare color and not because people don't like yellow cars. The bottom line is I wanted a yellow sports car. I was lucky enough to find a real beauty, it made me smile, and now I own it. Great country, America!

Re: Yellow Roadster Roll Call...
Everything is relative... some colors look good on some vehicles and some don't. Yellow defenitvely looks better on a sports car but I have seen other cars that yellow looked good on.
But the crossfire has one thing going for it and that is every color seems to go well on it...It's in the design I guess.
When I started looking at the Crossfire I had a hard time picking the color as it looks good in any color but the yellow...for me....just was a big plus...but you know ..in silver...red...hmmmmm..... ohhhhh....whatever...... WHAT A CAR!!!
