As an ex Toledoan I understand. I have been known to wash the car when it is drizzling down here in Miami land. Then drying it when the 3:00 rain stops. Yes, the neighbors question my sanity. My wife accepts it and my daughter sez don't forget the rims!

loving togetherness...Coupegirl your love of automobiles probably exceeds that which most of us have. It is genetically encoded in your chromosomes. Like father like daughter. I am sure my daughter can relate. See you in two weeks.

couldn't agree with you guys further. I have snow here now in PA and I rinse off the car everyday to keep the salt off. And the girlfriend hates that when i'm not at my 60 hour a week job at the dealership, I am making the car beautiful again. I just see it as an injustice to others if they see a crossfire dirty. You guys that have friends near you with crossfires are extremely lucky. I dont know anyone but my dad who has one and he's 2 hours away. But when we did drive together (the one time we did) I got a little feel for what a cruise would be like with other owners. I'm envious of those wh[/o had gotten to go to them. Keep up the funny s*it guys, it gives me something to laugh about at work.

Thanks Maxwell. No, it's actually a statue in an art gallery. I planning to put my girl as the next one though.

My wife thinks I'm nuts because my car is in winter storage in my garage behind the house at the far end of my property and once a week I go out and check on it. Most of the time I'll pull off the car cover and just sit in it for a few minutes. I also spend a lot of time on the forum but I have the TV on and now that I think about I don't know why.

I think of xfire forum watching as learning about our cars and seeing what issues others are having and how they delt with them...i.e. preparing for possible future problems.

Sounds good anyway!

My wife does not mind if I go off and wax the x-fire, as long as I get her x-fire too.

Ah yes, the Internet has allowed all of us car people an avenue to fulfill our need to discuss cars. I don't know what I'd do without automotive forums! I have been a certified car nut since the age of about 5. Some of my earliest memories are of being at the drags with my dad watching Top Fuel or at the dirt track watching motorcycles race flat-track!!

So there is a woman in a warm state that loves sports cars? Why am I sitting in the snow of NY?

I wash it, wax it, detail it. My wife drives it. Brings it back and tells me it is dirty. Go figure.

Cable? That is the thing with the rabbit ears attached that pushes in to the back of the big screen, right? My problem is I can't stand any vehicle dirty so I manage to stay real busy during the winter. Forum? I don''t remember being Roman but I seem to have a problem with my toga every time I bend over to clean the rims of my crossfire...

Hello everyone, as a new member of the forum and a new owner of an '05 crossfire limited. It's good to know I'm not the only nut washing his car in a Texas down pour. It's good to be with friends, good to meet you my fellow nuts.

I guess I am ready for therapy. I have owned my SRT since last Sept and have not even washed my car yet. No, it isn't a filthy mess, it is spotless. I have not driven it in the rain. I detail it every two to three times I drive it and dust it off every time I drive it.
