Cool Re: New to Forum

Congrats & Welcome to our Forum!!!!

Just be aware that the Crossfire Limited is not the best project car, especially for HP gains, the SRT6 would have been a better choice. Performance upgrades for our cars are far and few and very, very expensive. The Crossfire is built on the MB R170 platform (SLK230/320), its not a "parts bin" or "tuner" type car. By no means am I trying to down play your abilites, but it will not be easy....if you have the ability, knowledge and deep pockets....then have at it and keep us posted.

I understand..thank you for your posts...I do the cars for fun and to relax I'm a 60 yr old with a 80 yr old farther in-law who designed the first Cobra with carroll...I have been retired 3 times and now have 7 Art Gallery's around the country.....It was a gift from my wife just to have fun. If I brake it I will take your advice and get the SRT but this will be fun don't you think...Life is short you have to live large...Seal9

We won't miss one of those ugly yellow ones, just don't break a nice graphite gray. You may want to pick up an SRT6 while they are so cheap so you have a reference point for the work you'll do on the roadster. Hey...maybe a transplant of the MT6 from the roadster to the SRT6? Lot's of interest in a manual SRT6.

Welcome to the forum
If you're looking to make the Crossfire a beast, you most likely would have been better off getting a SRT6. From the factory, the SRT6 will put down ~290rwhp and run ~13 in the 1/4 mile.
Whatever you decide, good luck.
By the way, where are you located?

Sounds like a winner to me. Mod that XFire and make it scream.
