Default Getting a bumper to bumper warrenty

I have a 2005 crossfire roadster with 10,000 miles and it currently has a bumper to bumper warrenty until May of 2009 (or 36,000 miles). I'm looking to buy an extension to my warrenty that Chrysler would accept. I have talked with the Chrysler dealership in Georgetown, Texas and they quoted me a 7 year, 100,000 mile, bumper to bumper warrenty for $2,100. This seemed high, but it wouldn't take long to recover that cost if something mechanical or electrical went wrong during the next 7 years. Would ALL Chrysler dealerships give me that same quote? Anyone aware of a company that is approved by Chrysler? I'm sure some companys can quote a life time warrenty (for less money), but that usually pertains to their life. If they go out of business, that's the end of your "life time warrenty".
Thanks in advance to those that respond to my thread.

Hello... you need this and the tire and rim insurance. when i purhcased my 2005 (new) i got both. The "added car plus" 1800 521 9922 . it cost me $1,750. I bought the Road Hazard tire and wheel protection Deluxe Plan 5 yrs / unlimited mileage, and i paid $500 for a wax simoniz with teflon coating which protects the paint job for 5 yrs or bug juice.

Keep in mind that the 7 year warrenty is probably from the day you purchased the car and not from the time your warrenty expires. I'd check to see when it actually starts..

Type Maxcare in the search function and you'll get tons of info. Here's where you should start.....
