Default How do I get to the engine air filter?

I think it's hidden beneath a large piece of silver plastic sitting atop my engine, but I'm not for sure. If it is, do you unlock the top with a small flat screwdriver?

Just pull up on that plastic engine cover, starting on the backside. You may need to give it a good tug, but you won't hurt anything. The entire thing just snaps onto the engine at all four corners. The filter elements are under and attached to the engine cover.

Don't forget to pull off the air intake tubes first.

No screws. It just locks around rubber grommets on engine.

Cool Re: How do I get to the engine air filter?

  1. Open hood
  2. Remove plastic intake tubes (2)
  3. pull "UP" on rear of cover firmly until you feel it "give".
  4. Pull up on front of cover to remove.
  5. Flip over onto soft surface so as to not scratch it.
  6. Remove 8 T25 Torx head screws to access filters (2).
