Default I traded my Xfire!!

Hi all,
It was very sad to see it go. I loved my car and still do, believe me, but the warranty was going to expire soon and got a great deal so... This Sunday I traded my Xfire for a Mercedes SLK 350.
I drove the 280 and was nowhere near my xfire but the 350 it's more like it.

I want to thank all you for your great advise and input in the past couple of years.

I'll post pics of the new ride soon.
Thanks again.

Good luck with your new MB. Is there much performance difference between the 3.2 and 3.5 engines?

Congrats on your move. With the SLK 350, you're still in the family -- it's a first cousin!

I though the same about the engines, but it is huge difference! The 280 has 3.0 and the 350 a 3.5L and you sure can feel the difference... so is your pocket.

Looks great. Kinda reminds me of a XF. Engine bay, center console ect. I wonder if the engine cover and intakes will fit on my SRT? In fact it really looks like a high profile Crossfire. You should feel right at home in your new beautiful ride. It just costs a few more dollars. Ok a lot more pesos.

Sat in one at the Detroit NAIAS. Interior is nice. Hope you like it.
Still can't handle that front end. This is all I can think of:

LOL!!! My wife said the same thing about the front ha ha ha

I miss my Xfire, but I really like the SLK. The interior makes a huge difference! The seats much more comfortable, though still bucket/sports seats, 8-way power with 3 position memory and two lumbar adjustments, they even have vents in the head rest that blow hot air for colder days! Overall the interior is very similar to the Xfire but more on the luxurious side rather than sporty. The hard top makes it a nice quiet ride when closed. Engine is very responsive (tried the 280 and sucked!!)
I got the upgraded 18" wheels
On the cons I found so far, the base sound system is way inferior than the Xfire. I did not take the "sound" option thinking it will be about the same, but not, my laptop speakers sound better!

Well, that's so far what I can tell you after two days

I'll post more as I drive it longer.

Beautiful car! Hope you enjoy it.

As far as the front end goes.......for me it's really only 2 things. First being the size of the mercedes emblem......a little too big for my taste. The second being the headlight assembly.......it looks too much like the headlights on a celica or a focus, there's too many cars with the same shape of headlight nowadays.

BTW....that gonzo pic is too funny! I didn't get it at first, then I took a second look and laughed my a** off!
