Take it to a good bodyshop and have it installed. If they break something then raise hell and get it replaced for free.

Update...
He got the panel off, got the mirror installed...installed the panel back on the door, and then tested everything...the door latch did not work. Says he has to take the panel off again...must have missed something...he was laughing about it...glad he thinks that's funny...It's taken him almost 4 hours...no joke...
He's now back at it, re-removing the panel...ugh!
Mirror matches perfectly and looks nice...that's the good news.

It is great to hear there was a very successful conclusion to the saga of the damaged mirror. May we all be as fortunate.

Total time: give or take a few breaks, waiting for the battery to discharge...etc...around 5 hours...he thinks it was closer to 3...from 12:30 PM until 5 PM...then again from 8:00 PM until 9:00 PM, I'm no math wizard, but my figures come out different. At the end, it's fantastic that he got the job done and all works great. The door even latches! I'm happy again, and I think he is too!

It's always nice to accomplish something that you normally wouldn't do..................or know how to do.
