Door panels are easy...I could do the job in 10 minutes; taking my time, and not break anything. I timed myself once when taking off a Bentley Continental GT doorpanel and it took me 2 minutes...I kid you not. It all depends on the techs knowledge and skill level (and if they have the special tools when needed).

Take it to a good bodyshop and have it installed. If they break something then raise hell and get it replaced for free.

Yes, Robby, I was and they were printed and handed to my husband. He is currently in the garage "operating" on my door panel. I'm afraid to look or ask...He keeps coming in and out of the garage...I'm watching the golf tournament...with my fingers crossed!

Update...
He got the panel off, got the mirror installed...installed the panel back on the door, and then tested everything...the door latch did not work. Says he has to take the panel off again...must have missed something...he was laughing about it...glad he thinks that's funny...It's taken him almost 4 hours...no joke...

He's now back at it, re-removing the panel...ugh!

Mirror matches perfectly and looks nice...that's the good news.

Pictures? Should have taken some of hubby sweating and cursing (video) and grinning when he was done.

Glad to hear everything came out ok. For awhile there I thought you might have to use the duct tape again to hold your door closed. We all know how much you liked it on your mirror. Just kidding!

What was the "official" time spent on the project?

LOL...golfergal...you are A-OK.!

It is great to hear there was a very successful conclusion to the saga of the damaged mirror. May we all be as fortunate.

Total time: give or take a few breaks, waiting for the battery to discharge...etc...around 5 hours...he thinks it was closer to 3...from 12:30 PM until 5 PM...then again from 8:00 PM until 9:00 PM, I'm no math wizard, but my figures come out different. At the end, it's fantastic that he got the job done and all works great. The door even latches! I'm happy again, and I think he is too!

It's always nice to accomplish something that you normally wouldn't do..................or know how to do.

Yes, I agree. He now feels he can do the door panel in ten minutes..has the right tools, and he could pass on his expertise to others...ha!

I'm sure he is...probably more happy than you are because he won't have to hear any more whining about the mirror and he can be the hero of this saga....LOL.
