I finally found a great chrome license plate cover. When I purchased my new 2005 roadster it didn't have one on the front. Here in NYS it's a must, so I had the dealership obtain the bracket for the front and then they placed the license plate on it. It looked terrible. I checked ebay and finally found a great chrome cover, now the front of my xfire looks as good as the back. Thanks goodness. These nesessities are a must.

I agree Patty...My illuminated wind re stricter just arrived, and I ordered "Powered by Mercedes" badges from the dealer. I want to order the Crossfire badging, and license plate covers. If I had money burning a hole in my pocket I'd seriously consider custom wheels.

 

If you live within the 5 Boroughs (not sure of Nassau & Suffolk Counties or Upstate), license plate covers or surrounds are illegal and you can get a ticket for them while driving or when parked. The law is seldom enforced, but is still a law, and I have been ticket twice in my lifetime for having them on my cars.

 

i put an AMG sticker on the front plate.

 

I live in the Albany NY area, we can have plate covers up here.
