Thanks woodlands, the dealer did tell my wife the last time "we really are not a xfire dealer" ! I was surprised by this comment because they are a "chrysler" dealer. But, maybe they don't have any one that has had the proper training with the xfires I would guess.
Yes, it is time to try someone else so I will now try to figure out who may be best for my problem.

Thanks,
Randy

Button for the dome lights, I would have never guessed... I wish it was that easy, I actually had the service dept. tell me the same thing "Oh it takes 30 seconds to set." It is something different as they wont come on or dim when the door is closed. I'm just glad Chrysler stands behind their cars, it was just a small inconvience.

Update to dome lights. They replaced the body sensor for the air bags since this also allows them to check all of the codes. Once replaced they found the door panel has a tab on the inside that is missing which causes the sensor to think the door is still open. This controls the lights and the rolling locking of the doors. A new door panel has been ordered and will be in in a couple of weeks... Problem solved...

Thanks for the info Blackberry...I have the exact same problem with my '05 roadster. I'll tell the dealer when I go in for service.

At 26,000 miles the driver's window started to rattle when the door was closed. Took two trips to the dealer for them to understand the window track was loose. They fixed it, but broke the little clip that says "Airbag". So now that is on order. Otherwise the car runs great. It's a summer car only.

I did buy an extended service plan after I saw all the cables and pulleys that operate the top. Most of the time it sits top down in the garage under a car cover, to save on wear and tear.

I have had my '05 Crossfire Roadster since March and I have had both driver side rims replaced because they were peeling. I have an appointment to get a valve stem sensors replaced on one of the tires. I have the icon lit up in the console but the pressure is fine. Also, the chrome handle on the inside of the driver side door is peeling at the seam. It's sliced my hand open a few times. Good thing I got an ESP.

I believe most dealers don't get many XFires to work on so they don't have expertise. Remember that the XFire has nothing in common (except the name plate and front grill) with the rest of the Chryslers they deal with.
