Default Drunk and Stupid!!!

About an hour ago I messed up my crossfire. I completely scratched my rims and misaligned my crossfire by hitting it against the curb. I was really drunk and showing off my roadster to my friend. I wish I never did it, but what can I do now? I'm afraid of telling my dad cuz I'm afraid I won't get to drive it again.
How much will it cost to realign? And what should I do?

Your dad should take the car away, you deserve it. If i was drunk driving i would be embarrassed to post it here.

Your lucky that's all that happened.

Give your dad the keys, tell him you f'd up and do what you think is appropriate, I'll take whatever you dish out. Bet it won't be terrible (even if you do deserve it).

Obviously you must still be drunk and always be stupid to come on this forum and tell us of your irresponsible action and then ask what you should do.
I suggest you don't get drunk and drive ever again.
Also you should ride a bicycle and not put others in danger by driving drunk.

People who drive drunk **** me off especially since drunk drivers have caused people I know to be the innocent victims who lost there lives for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of coarse the drunks always survive to go out and do it again. GROW UP YOU DUMB@SS !!!

PS this comes from someone who by choice does not drink and drive.

Simply amazing. You are an idiot who doesn't deserve to drive such a car. Give me your parents phone number so I can call them myself.

You're a dumb AZZ like everyone has stated. Totally irresponsible. You're lucky that's all that happened. Turn in the keys to your dad and take the punishment he gives you gracefully, and work on rebuilding the trust. Trust is gained one grain of sand at a time, but is lost with one quick screw-up.

Fess up and talk to your Dad like a man. It will make a major impact on your life and your future that will pay you dividends.

Thank your lucky stars that it was only the rims that got "scuffed up".

The only thing "out-of-alignment" is you. But that can be fixed.

Unhappy Re: Drunk and Stupid!!!

What can be said! So much of this thing we call the internet can be fret with tom foolery. If your pulling our legs, shame on you. If not, shame on you.

All of us (guess I'd better speak for myself) have done really stupid things in our life. Just the fact we are here to criticize you means we survived our ordeal. Sounds like if your afraid of what your Dad will say, he probably is trying to raise you right. Learn from this because next time you may ruin not only the rest of your life but take some innocents with you.

Tell your Dad and take your lumps.

I understand that I made a huge mistake last night. One that could have taken lives, but I was the only one in the car, in an secluded area where people always go to do donuts or whatever in their cars. There were not any cars or pedestrians around. I still cannot believe what an idiot I am and how I deserve for you guys to trash me like that. I have a really bad moral hangover right now and reading your comments makes me realize that you are right. I don't deserve to drive such a car. I guess all I can do is tell my dad what happened and turn over the keys. Thanks for your help guys.

Well that might be the last we hear of him I think we may of scared him away, but I do hope he read all of these posts and more to come I'm sure. We love our xfire's and enjoy LIFE drunk drivers can screw both.
I never had a D.U.I. and I know I never will but its always the other guy that worries me. If your dad has a head on his shoulders he is going to kill you...simple if it's not dad's sell the xfire buy a bus pass.

I'm going to think this out logically. You obviously feel a great deal of remorse for what you did, which is good. You still have a moral standard (even if you broke it), and a soul left. You know what you did was totally irresponsible and dangerous. I truly hope it SCARED you enough to never do something like that again. Now, ask yourself this question. If you truly feel that bad about the car and your broken trust with your father, should you be driving it? If you would like to continue to drive it and learn from your own mistakes, then I suggest you man up and take responsibility for what you have done. I'm not sure I would tell him about the drunk part... The reckless driving might be enough without the Alcohol factor. You know you messed up, but if he doesn't know about you drinking, then I would leave that part out. Just tell him you were acting the fool and lost control of the car being stupid. I trust that your own conscious will keep you from drinking and driving again...

BTW, are you even old enough to drink???

You're young, and we all mess up on occasion, especially when young.

I can only hope you have indeed learned your lesson about drunk driving. Thankfully, it is a lesson learned that caused no bodily harm to you or anyone else. Some people aren't so lucky and either end up dead, or having to live life crippled, maimed, or scarred, or even worse yet, they have to live out the rest of their lives feeling the terrible guilt and remorse of what they have inflicted on others (including their families).

Now this is getting a little confusing. In post #1, the writer said "I was really drunk and showing off my roadster to my friend." But in post #12, the same writer said "I was the only one in the car" and "there were not any cars or pedestrians around." So where was the "friend" from the first post? We would like to help, but I do think we're entitled to have all of the facts first.

You're stupid for trying to make us believe your story in hopes of getting responses to your post... Or, you're really stupid for doing what you posted and coming to a public forum looking for answers... And you're even MORE stupid because you can't figure out, on your own, how to get your wheels fixed and your alignment done...

Sorry for the confusion. Well, I was at a party and a few friends and I were talking about cars and one of them hadn't seen my car, so I take him outside and tell him to hop in to take it for a spin at the "spot." This is a place where everyone around here goes to donuts and what not. There are no cars around and no people either. When we arrived my friend decided he wanted to see how the donuts looked from the outside, so he walked on to the sidewalk and watched from there. By the way, I already told my father about what happened. I was honest about the incident but I left out the drunk part as suggested by User NeverEnough. Thank you for the constructive criticism NeverEnough. Anyway, his reaction was actually not too bad. He just told me he would take care of it monday and that he was glad nothing happened to me. Completely the opposite of what I expected and deserve, however, it doesn't hurt to hear that.

This sounds like the most BS post I have seen since that "16 year old girl" thread...

Especially since the poster has just joined the forum...

Sorry for being cynical... But
