This is a car that will be very difficult, if not impossible to get repairs for a worn out top in a few years. With the bun warmers, dash heat and dressing correctly the Crossfire is warmer than any snowmobile even at 0 degrees Fahrenheit. However, even though this is a German design I worry more about a low temp hurting the top than I do about having to clean off a little bit of salt from the body.
Almost a new thread! I work construction and at lower temps we shutdown -23 c/-3f, mechanical things just don't work-insulation on wiring becomes brittle, blue jeans get stiff, oil needs warming, fuel needs conditioners. Humidity is very low here 15/30%, (but its a dry cold!) but I would not think about going topless till the mid 50f's (10C), because I know that I will have problems with the top in the future.

Lowest I've had it down was 41 so far. But I'm with the cautious...the temp today was 62...so of course I brought it down. Now I need another warm day to put it up or else I get some heat in the garage.

Well it finally warmed up a little here on Long Island. Temp got to 32 degrees today. I of course had to take advantage and went for a top down drive. Gotta love a convertible (and gloves, scarf, hat and seat heat)!

Yes. He watched me do it because he refused to participate in my craziness. For some reason he found putting the top down on a cold day insane (even though he used to do it too...!)

Had mine down this last Saturday...I think the high for the day was 13...I was on 355 going south around 12:30...GOT A LOT OF STARES and two thumbs up!

By the way when I went up north in the morning it was -2 and when I get too grayslake it was -4 when I came home around noon the car said 16.

So ya'll can figure it was around 13 give or take a few at noon...Soon as I pulled into my heated garage and then let the car warm up for about an hour then I put the top back up and went back out.

By the way spent sunday in a blanket in front of the tv...

K.K.

It was about 15 here yesterday. I had the top down for a good hour or so.
Although I was in the garage (with heat) waxing and detailing it.

You guys are far more brave than I.

I'd have to say 55 is comfortable, but I will go as low as 50.

The top only goes up when it rains... riding around topless is the only way to go... even when it dips to the lower 60's lately! Sorry, am in Florida so I can brag a tad...

Sounds like FL is the place to be. My wife is flying down next week for about a week. She was saying yesterday how it would be nice to have the Xfire down there. I have to agree. It sure is miserable up here in MI.

Baby is covered in the corner of the garage since mid-November, but on 6th October I drove from Holland MI to Big Rapids MI (about 200 mile round trip) to see a Ferris State-Union College ice hockey game.

On the way up it was in the mid - 30's and I got to follow a Porsche Turbo Carrera at 100+ mph for a while.

On the way back my thermometer said 28o F. I know it was below freezing since my spouse was to cold to ***** about me smoking a victory cigar (go Union).

Quite a few times last fall I made the cross-state drive to Detroit with the temperature in the high 30's when I leave at 6 am. It's about a three hour drive but the heater and seats keep me warm. By the time I hit Motown it's in the high 40's.

Took mine out of the garage today, south Georgia is almost as good as FLA. It was 76. Too hot. I had to turn on the AC! I think my face got burned.
