Default Owners Manual

Hi all,

I just purchased a new Crossfire Roadster here in Australia, and am really happy with it. But apart from the jack and multi purpose tool being missing, the owners manual seems like it is for a coupe, and not a roadster. As there is no mention of the roof operation in it, or any manual procedure on how to get the roof up if it fails.
I was just wondering if the U.S. or U.K versions come with a "Roadster Specific" owners manual, or a more general Coupe owners manual.
Thanks in advance.

Terry

I have never noticed it before you mention it, but mine has no instructions regarding the top either.

Cool Re: Owners Manual

The "Multi Tool" is used when the top fails. The "Multi Tool" is a combination of a wrench and pry bar (used to pry the front lower grilles off).

My manual has specific directions and instructions for the convertible top. It's definitely not a coupe manual, though some of the information is interchangeable.

I have a coupe but section 3 of my owner's manual starts with instructions for operating the convertible top.

There will not be any instructions for operating your top if you are using a 2004 owners manual. Make sure the dealer gave you a 2005 owners manual.

Sorry I can't help. The manual I have is Coupe specific.

Regards.

Check under "new posts" there is a listing on ebay for a '05 manual. Might be worth the cost of shipping...

Thanks for that guys (and Gals!). I will tell the dealership to see if they can get me an '05 manual. I'm assuming the Aussie manual is similar to the U.S. one.
If not I might have to bid on the ebay one. I'll know tomorrow when I talk to the Salesman.

The Salesman is going to order me an '05 manual, and a multi purpose tool, and a jack, (different thread). So hopefully should have in about a week (he says)! I won't hold my breath though.

Thanks for all the replies.

Terry, if you get the multi-purpose tool, see if you can find out what part # they used to order it, please. My dealership (5 Star, no less) has been trying to find it for over a year now and still can't find it. Thanks.

Hi All,

Today the Jack, wheel brace, Multi purpose tool and '05 Owners Manual (with Roadster specific stuff) turned up, so I'm Happy.
The Part # for the Multi Purpose tool is, I think 1-05127223AA.

Thanks Terry, appreciate the part #. It amazes me that my dealer (who owns over a dozen dealerships between FL & NC) can't find it after more than a year.

Yet here in Australia, where Chrysler Dealerships are a little thin on the ground, it was at my Post Office a little over a week from ordering, and they had to source a Jack, Wheel Brace, and 2005 Owners manual for me as well.
Do you think that tells you something, ie maybe your Dealership is not trying!!!
