Probably will not continue on to TMS.

Looking forward.
Glad you will make it!

Lorne brought to my attention that I have not posted hotel information for the Texas Motor Speedway. We always stay at the Motel 6 a couple blocks from the speedway. The rooms are relatively new, nice and clean. They always go out of their way to accommodate us. I've updated the first post with Motel 6 information but still need to speak with the manager to arrange our discount. Thanks for the reminder Lorne!

Was wondering last night about this.. but figured you had the bull by the horns.. (Native Texan! LOL)

Would love to do the whole nine yards but that would be a what 15 hour trip to start the trip from here?
(Tulsa basically)

You could cruise on over to OKC area and group ride with joejet, smfrycruzr and DCXfire. Maybe some others like Franc and pizzaguy will join in too.

Does that make it less than 15 hour drive? (and don't tell me at 90 mph yes..lol)

Believe me seeing the pics of the area (native to Odessa area) makes me think about it.. Could always grab a motel six room somewhere down there if it turns into a last minute.. "lets do it"..

Huh, Joe, I get this on mapquest - "10 hrs 11 mins / 615.24 miles"

Now, I KNOW you don't drive that slow!

15 hours was a quick look at the map.. and scale.. taking I-35.
Throw in a leg stretch or two wouldn't have been that far off.. LOL.

US-277 S to I-20 W11 hrs 34 mins / 735.42 miles

I-35 S to I-20 W12 hrs 49 mins / 812.57 miles

I haven't decided when I will leave OKC. Might meet Texas-t and Dcjordan and drive with them, that's what I usually do. Or might go a day or two early and watch the balloons. Will know more when I talk with them at the Dragon .

Ready to pull the trigger on reservations... but CAA4 is not valid with online reservation.. Anybody know right quick if it can be applied with a phone call tomorrow as they close the office at 9 and 9:10 is when we decided on which room...

Edit: Okay..guess we'll just deal with this tomorrow..
