Re: 14th Annual Spring Dragon - April 14 - 18, 2022
I regret that I have a last-minute conflict and can't attend. I know I usually only miss a Dragon if I'm in the hospital, this is not the case this time, but life really got in the way this time.
I will be at the Eureka Springs event in June and the Fall Dragon in October for sure. I have updated the list to what is reflected by the Lodge Reservation list, we have nine rooms, all together, on the second floor of the lodge.
Again, I regret that I can't be there for what is always a great time (Easter weekend features light traffic!)

Quick Question for anyone who can answer. Are rooms still available? I ask because I will be paying cash for my room. Thanks. Oh also, my little brother is going to follow me up as well he won't be driving his crossfire due to us not finished his build because of my arm. I told him he would have to ride in the back of the pack.

Sorry I forgot to come here and say Marie & I will not be coming..
Last weekend we was given tickets to Martinsville Nascar race.
right now the crossfire needs a little work (transmission shifting issues)
We still plan on being at fall gatherings
We hope everyone has a great time and we want photos..
Last weekend returning home, We hit Back of the Dragon. The Ford Flex with awd and twin turbos was fun but need to return with crossfire..

Well I have not. I did wake up to a card from Dorothy on my car, but I still haven't seen or heard anything from anyone. I'm gonna go out exploring alone hopefully I'll find some of the others. Thank for your help

We had a great time at the Spring Dragon this year though the group was very small (6 cars) between the 3 days. Very sorry to the guy I think his name is Chris with the purple Crossfire that we never did hook up with on Saturday but hope to meet at the Fall Dragon. Friday we all went for breakfast at Deals Gap and then to the Alpine town of Helen, Georgia and eventually back to the lodge to eat at the Grill for dinner in the evening. Saturday we went back to Deals Gap for breakfast and then onto Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend, TN. The Foothills Parkway was closed for some reason and had the go some new back roads (to us) to cut thru to get to Townsend with some good driving roads but very narrow in spots and then onto Cherokee, NC to go to Mingo Falls which was new to me. Then we went back to the lodge for dinner at the Grill. Great little group that was very easy to keep together with the few cars we had. Thanks to Dorothy and Kara (Team Sapphfire) for leading and navigating our group on Friday and Saturday I think everyone had a great time. See everyone in the fall. Pat

Well, when we are short leaders in the fall, now I know I can draft Kara and Dorothy!
This was almost a non-event and, quite frankly, I think the days of a formal spring event are probably over - not to say we won't go anyway - but I think spring meets are going to be like this from now on. With weather concerns, we can't get our Canadian, northern and Texas/west coast people to attend a spring event and a lot of veterans are only going to the fall event.
As to FALL, it will continue to be our big event and pretty formal at that. I already have vacation time, a plane ticket and reservation made. Also, please note that our friend from Germany will be there this time!
For those who are unfamiliar, here is the thread on this year's fall event, I have several attendees who have notified me they have reservations, but haven't taken time to update the list - I will strive to do that tonight, we are over 30 cars already and we have 5 1/2 months to go:

Well, that IS true. But back in 2011 or 2013, the Spring Dragon on Easter had over 20 cars; I clearly remember cause Johnathan held church services in the chapel that morning and we had over 2/3 of attendees in church - made me smile to see that.
