Re: Crossfire Fun In The Ozarks (Round 5) / REVISED DATE July 12 thru 17, 2020
WIth highs here in the 90s, only people from Arizona and Texas can say that.

Yep, AZ, we will be escaping a 116° Sunday to get there, just glad to miss that, i think my dash would melt...

Oh yeah . . . I've heard that "but it's a dry heat" theory before!
Re: Crossfire Fun In The Ozarks (Round 5) / REVISED DATE July 12 thru 17, 2020
Honestly I perfer the "dry" heat, because you get sweaty from the heat. With humidity your wet before you even get to feel the heat.

This week will be very hot and humid in Eureka Springs !!!

Hello all,
As we prepare to enjoy Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks (Round 5), I look ahead to Round 6 in 2021. Please make note of the dates checking in on Sunday June 13, 2021 - and checking out on Friday June 18, 2021. We will put up an official new event thread as soon as our contract is signed with our GREAT host hotel - Best Western Inn of the Ozarks. Happy to see many old friends along with many new attendees joining us this year. There should be NO EXCUSE for YOU not to join us next year for Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks (Round 6) . . .
On behalf of the Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks (Round 5) planning committee . . .
Bob Davis (Red Dog) / Event Coordinator

Well a nice start to our week here in the Ozarks
13 of us have been in nearby Branson since Friday afternoon
Mark had his roadster top replaced early this morning in the parking lot here at the beautiful Club Wyndham condo complex
We then enjoyed lunch together at Lambert's in Ozark, Missouri and then went to Fantastic Caverns where we were taken to some beautiful caves 100 feet underground and saw some spectacular views of the historic caverns
Tomorrow a trip over to Table Rock Lake visitors center before departing Missouri to arrive in Eureka Springs

The week has finally arrived as well as many of our guests
We have our Crossfire banner proudly displayed on the main sign at the entrance to our host hotel
The pool is open and is a great space to cool off after a daily run or to gather in the evenings after dinner

Funny how our group has people in it who can replace a convertible top in a parking lot, while on vacation, in 90 minutes - when body shops charge a week's pay for it.

Great first day here in the Ozarks
205 miles of driving our Crossfires on the twisty and hilly roads
Back at the hotel and ready for another day of cruising tomorrow

Nice pictures so far. Thanks for sharing a view of Bob's 2-tone SRT-6 Coupe. First time I've seen the finished paint scheme.
Everyone enjoy the remainder of the event.

That picture just does nto do the car justice. My least favorite color is SSB, in fact, it's a NON-color. I can't see why someone would produce a car in that color - ironically, Bob's coupe is the prettiest Custom-painted Crossfire I have ever seen.

THANKS TO GENE! I've done the Pigtrail twice before, since 2015. Yesterday's route was the best ever - I will lead that run next time, using THIS map!

BIG THANKS to Robert and Zachary for putting my new top on in the condo lot the morning before we headed to Eureka Springs.
Job took less than 90 minutes.

We stopped for photos on the overlook as we left Big Cedar Lodge (Branson, MO). Then *someone* thought it would be fun to drive over the grass to the edge and get some better pictures............
The Gen Coupe is one of us, as is the Porsche SUV (which could keep up on my moderate runs just fine...)
My NEW favorite picture of Loralie.....
"Top of the Rock" is the white arrow, our overlook is the yellow arrow.
