Crossfires will be back in Eureka Springs, Arkansas again for our 2020 annual visit. It is a P E R F E C T .Crossfire venue with our great host hotel, fun driving twisty and hilly roads to run, wonderful surrounding sights and small towns with great food at MANY good restaurants. Eureka Springs is an annual Crossfire destination event titled: "CROSSFIRE FUN IN THE OZARKS"
Our 2020 Eureka Springs event is CROSSFIRE FUN IN THE OZARKS (ROUND 5).

We have signed contracts with our host hotel and you may now contact the hotel directly to make your reservation . . .

Best Western Inn of the Ozarks
207 W. Van Buren,
Eureka Springs, Arkansas 72632
(479) 253-9768

Their website: Eureka Springs AR Hotel - Best Western Inn of the Ozarks

We have initially blocked 41 rooms (16 King rooms and 25 Double Queen rooms) at a special discounted rate of only $82 per night (plus some taxes).

When calling for your reservation, you must indicate to the desk person that you are with "Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks" to be sure you get our discounted group rate!

Also when calling to make your reservation, PLEASE TELL THE RESERVATIONS PERSON THAT YOU'D LIKE TO BE IN BUILDING "D". This will help keep our Crossfire group close together within the hotel complex. There is an attachment to this post which can show you the hotel complex map and also the types of rooms in building D.

We strongly suggest that attendees plan to arrive afternoon or early evening on Sunday July 12th.
We have a group breakfast buffet and meeting set up
in our Hospitality Room for Monday morning at 9:00 AM.
There we will introduce our group drive leaders and review your options to choose one of that day's individual "runs".
Each daily run is planned with a lunch stop and also some free time to explore that town and do some shopping.

No matter which run you choose for the first day, you will have the opportunity to go on each of the other runs at sometime during our visit.

IMPORTANT: Get and bring with you a FRS / GMRS walkie-talkie radio with extra batteries.
We use this type of walkie-talkie radio to maintain communications within
the various groups out and about during our daily runs . . .

More information to follow . . . It will be added to this thread here in posts #.1, 2, 3 and 4 so check back here occasionally to keep up to speed.
Make your hotel reservations NOW and then post in this thread so we can add you to the attendee list (Post #2).

When you post in this thread to confirm your attendance, I will need the following information:

Screen Name (which is on your post)
City and State (which is usually on your post)
First name(s) of person(s) attending
How many Crossfires you will be bringing and what year / color / model (Base / Limited / SRT6) / and Coupe or Roadster.

Event registration / group meals . . .

A slight change for 2020. Payment for the group meals has now become a $50 per person event registration which INCLUDES the cost of the group meals.

07/13/20 - Monday morning 9:00 AM - We have a combination breakfast / driver's meeting set up in the motel conference center. Here we will introduce the group leaders and let them tell you about their planned runs for the day. Attendees can then choose which run they will join for that day. No mater which run you choose the first day, you will have the opportunity to go on each of the various runs at sometime during this event.

Note: Please plan to arrive at our host hotel sometime on Sunday July 12th so you'll be fresh and be able to attend the breakfast / driver's meeting at 9:00 AM on Monday morning.

07/16/20 - Thursday evening 6:00 PM - End of event celebration and dinner in the motel conference center.

Please send in your monies for the event registration to my PayPal ID which is RedDogNumber1@aol.com. Kindly send your payment via PayPal's option for "family & friends" to minimize the PayPal fee for the transaction. As the registration payments are received, I will mark your payment on the attendee list in post #2 of this thread with an asterisk * for each person paid. Your event registration MUST BE PAID NO LATER THAN JUNE 15, 2020 so we can advise the hotel on the number of people attending the group meals. After June 15, 2020 the event registration will become NON REFUNDABLE should you need to cancel your participation.

On behalf of the 2020 Crossfire Fun in the Ozarks planning committee, THANKS . . . See you in Eureka Springs!

Thanks Bob for the “building D” tip. I think we wound up in the front building because our Saturday stay was a separate reservation due to the pricing difference so we got separated. We won’t let it happen again.

When I faxed the hotel right after the new thread for next year's event was up on the Forum, I specifically asked for the same room we had when we last attended in 2018 (which was in "D" Bldg). Combined with my Best Western Rewards account, we'll see if it gets me the room I want.

When I access my Best Western Rewards account, the reservation shows the Confirmation Number and Check-In Date (so the fax was received), but nothing else. Most likely Best Western's reservation system can't show reservation details a year away.

In my experience, they DO make note of your specific room request but it doesn't show up on your reservation confirmation. If you are truly "set" on having that specific room, I would suggest that you phone the hotel / give them your confirmation number / confirm that they have your specific room request / ask that they mark it as "do not change room".

That is what I did
I called and spoke with reservations and they marked me as "do not change room"
so I should be in the same room next year
