Sorry everyone, I was SUPER busy last night making final preparations on the Gumbo. Then, today suddenly, all day today, my AT&T Hotspot was not working on my phone NOR my son's phone. Must have been an issue on AT&T's end because it is working fine now. I say that because I refuse to get on this PUBLIC site on my work's network. I don't want them to have access to my personal life.

Anyway, it LOOKS like we are up to $250. Excellent! Not much further to go, and I am sure we can get that tomorrow night if need be.

A BIG Thank You to everyone who offered to contribute either in here or via PM.

Many of you have offered to bring side items - THANK YOU! I know George is bringing 20 loaves of French Bread (according to him, that will take up his entire passenger seat!).

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Someone bring brownies or double fudge cookies. 1/2 dozen is fine, I don't need many.

You'll have to fill up on French bread, I'm bringing you 20 loaves.

I just finished making three pans of brownies. Look out for the ones with the little green specs. See you tomorrow about 4:30. Don

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who came out last night. It made me smile to see so many people gathered having conversation over dinner when I (finally) arrived. It was great getting to meet you all as well.

I also wanted to thank everyone who donated money for the room. We meet our goal. THANK YOU!

Looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow. I'll be at the BBQ.

I want to thank Crystal for the wonderful Gumbo dinner that was provided on Thursday night
It was delicious and so enjoyable to spend time with so many who attended the dinner
It was fun and a great success !!!

Crystal was attending this event for the very first time and did a heck if a good job to kick off our weekend together
The first time this has ever been done in the 11 years

And we thank you, your little idea turned into an event in itself.

You took on a logistical challenge to say the least. The fact you pulled it off after working a full day the day before then driving all that way and geting right to work had to have been a task. I hope you relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the weekend.

I also wanted to thank everyone who donated money for the room. We meet our goal. THANK YOU!
This does not surprise me at all, there was no way THIS BUNCH would let a first timer down.

Thank you Crystal for the Gumbo Night on Thursday. My daughter and myself truly enjoyed the meal and all the desserts everyone brought. Thanks

P.S. I would really like the recipe!
