I was late calling for the lunch reservation and they are now sold out. The woman that I spoke to did say that there was another car on the train that did not serve lunch. If you were still interested in taking the train trip, and could do without the lunch, the conductor narrates the journey in the non-food car. She said that reservations were not required and that the cost was $14.00.

Okay folks.. On the kart - golf rental..
I'm going to go ahead and put in the reservation for 1 hour @ 2:00. Half the people @ 1 hour should pretty much equal 60 @ 2 hours for driving time and golf. This might work out a little better since we need to be at Pigs Trail @ 5 and it's right at an hour run to there, which now leaves us some time to run to the motel for fresh deodorant ect. LOL. They didn't seem to hesitate on being able to cancel with no problem so if this doesn't work for those signed up we can discuss Sunday evening and I can cancel Monday.

Sorry to hear that you can't make it to CAA6. But I understand family issues taking a priority. In my book, family will always come first!

Well, got the car packed and was about to head out. Started the car, was doing some final-last-minute checks on my luggage, and smelled something burning.
Saw smoke from the radiator. Saw the battery light on. Measured battery voltage - 11.00 volts with the engine idling.
I can assume that the alternator just "went up in smoke"....
I wonder if I can go get one in Atlanta today. If so, I may be able to leave late today and still make it!

We are departing Clarksdale, MS this morning, touring about Helen, AR for a short time, then tonight in Clarksville, AR. Sunday morning we will take 123 north (Franks route) towards Eureka Springs.

Should have a rebuilt "Valeo Type 120 amp" alternator by noon. (NAPA - $210 with tax - it's all I can get before Monday.)
If it is what it claims to be, I suspect I'lll be on the road by 1pm today - so that works for an arrival in Eureka Springs by lat afternoon tomorrow.
