Crossfires Across America #6 - Ozark Mountain Region - June 15-18, 2015

Danny.. did you set up an "active cart"? And maybe a link to it? Trying to order direct and don't see an option for "joining a group buy"..
And again thanks so much for taking the time! It's great to have members that have "been there done that" helping out!

I haven't seen anyone mention that our week in Eureka Springs will coincide with some performances for the Eureka Springs Blues Festival which runs June 13 thru June 21st. Past Blues festivals have been weekend events. This year it will span 9 days. Looks like headliner performers will mainly be on the weekend after we leave, but other lower key performances will occur around town thru the week. Go to eurekaspringsblues.com for details.

yep, i read about the blues festival, any outdoor music will be great to relax to. Eureka Springs look to be a very cool and laid back town. Several videos on you tube to watch, lots of antique and art stores to peruse. This will be a great event, and only 3 weeks to go................

Okay.. figure out which way you want to go and we can have both cars there.. No sense in you missing this because of the circumstances on your car..

It's still curvy and the scenery is decent.
Go south at 65 thru Branson. You'll likely be at the end of the trip and too tired to take a squirrely route.
Past Poplar Bluff not much for good eats.
65 south of 60 has decent restaurants, Freemont Hills and then Ozark, if you are hungry.
Some might suggest 160 instead. It is lower and hits 65 20 miles south but, it will take a lot of time. Just outside of West plains Is a decent BBQ worth the trip. But coming all the way from SC,,,, I would pass
No, if convenience and speed is your target, coming all the way via I-40 to fort smith, then going north via I-540 gets you almost there on interstate. You will miss Branson traffic. If Branson is your destination before the CAA then I would suggest I-540 as the best way home.
I-540 is completed and has views that rival I-81 north out of Asheville NC. Awesome mountains.

I'm sure that if you get there you will have a great time, it is after all the people, the cars are just an added bonus. I would hate for you to miss this with or without a Crossfire.

( can you have someone drop you off in Anniston, or will you need me to come pick you up ? )
Re: Crossfires Across America #6 - Ozark Mountain Region - June 15-18, 2015
Yes, that is the most direct rout with the best roads. MO 248 may seem shorter but it goes thru a lot of Tourist & residential .

Guys,
The restaurant in Mt Judea is not open on Monday. They said they would but only if we have like 20 people. I haven't seen that many interested so I'm going to make the run on Tuesday and Wednesday
We will be back Wednesday in time for the BBQ.
Please PM me with your preference and how many cars and people.
