Please post in this thread if you will be attending and I'll put you on the list in post #2
This is also the thread to ask any questions about the event. This get-together (GTG) is for drivers of all skill levels and driving interests. Route leaders will be taking small groups (up to 14 cars) on routes and runs that vary from a relaxing drive in the mountains, to those that might make some passengers (and even DRIVERS) a little queasy.
Enjoy the accommodations at the Fontana Lodge Resort in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
Enjoy meeting other members and some incredible driving in groups around the Smokey Mountains.

The cut off date for reserving a room in our Crossfire Group at this rate was February 2, the lodge is quite full. PET RULES AT FONTANA LODGE
$150 non refundable pet deposit for Lodge rooms.
This has been a strict policy for 5 years now and has been implemented by the owners of the property
We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause some of our members but Gary tried to negotiate but was unsuccessful.
There may be cabins available that are pet-friendly, but availability is limited and the price won't be $84.00 a night.
The lodge also operates a campground less than three miles from the lodge - call the lodge or click the link above the picture of the pool (above) for details.

Maps and Route Information
Nick's Run on Friday:
My Friday run this year is to the Road to Nowhere. A couple years ago Howard, Jim and I went up this way. It’s a decent run that takes you through Bryson City, where we will have lunch, and ends just before a dark tunnel with a huge parking area. From there we will go through the tunnel on foot and hike the 3 mile Goldmine Loop Trail. If you decide you do not wish to hike 3 miles you’re more than welcome to head back to the Lodge, or Bryson City.
My group is generally a moderately aggressive. This means we drive quickly through the twisty bits, and 5-10 over on the straight bits.
Just a 82 mile day, should be pretty relaxed and different from what we're use to.
Here is more information about the road and how it came to be.

Ok, here we go again - another signup thread. Doing the best I can to keep up with everyone.
I will start a NEW ATL/GA convoy thread soon, I leave from GA400 Exit 14 on Thursday at a time agreeable to others - often around 1pm. I had two Alabamans with me this time and I introduced them to GA60 and GA180 -
