He lives pretty close to me - we've been talking, I knew his car was for sale but also knew he still planned to attend - that's why I didn't say anything.

 

AH, now I get it. Too much champagne last night, running a bit slow.

 

I did unfortunately. I had to too pay bills. I have been looking for a ride or someone who is going alone to pal around with but now it looks like I won't be going. The guy who bought my "Lola" is flying in from IA on April 4th. I will be picking him and his wife up at the airport and bringing them here to get the car. He already has the title and plates and insurance and is ready to go.

 

As suggested.. find a dealer that will let you test drive it for the weekend.. LOL. I had seen where you sold it and not much of you since then, that's why I had to wonder. Glad to see you still pokin around here..

"Champagne" is a code word Nick uses... when it comes to booze, you can't take his posts too literally, gotta read them like an Old Testament Bible verse.

 

Of this I am quite aware; been there, done that.

 

Actually it was champagne last night. Celebrating a friends 50th birthday. Started with a Mimosa and after a while just asked for the bottle.

 

I've layed off the scotch recently. It's not been very pleasant on my pallet for some reason.

 

It's never too early to start prepping the car for the Dragon. Today it got a bath, and fresh coat of wax.



I also got a chance to clean the tips up.

I meant to add that there is a slight change in the Friday run. Seems we may have several people going to "The Road to Nowhere", so our first stop will be a few miles from the lodge at the Dam. We'll have a 10-15 minute (loose on the time {read not a time **** }) to readjust the lineup of cars. This is your chance to ask question, and reposition yourself into the different groups. After this stop your next opportunity to change groups is when 28 splits into 4 lanes (2 coming and 2 going). At this point I will slow the lead group until we have everyone together.

From there it's just two left turns and we should be in Bryson City.

 

Count me in Nick, counting down the days (my new breakfast buddies).

 

Nick what time are you meeting for the Friday run. I will be driving up that morning. Shooting for being at the breakfast table around 8:30 or so.

i wish there was a way that we could get a list together of all members by state then we could try to hold more regional meets and bring some extra members to the dragon meets.
Is there a way to get this list?
