I want to do the friday meeting a bit differently - I'm gonna TRY to make the meeting last only 15 minutes and encourage everyone to break up and talk to leaders where you can get your answers to questions way faster than ONE person at a time asking about a run, etc. There is really little to say that is crowd-specific. We have a LOT of first timers, with Nick, Pacemaker(Johathan), and myself leading, I'm thinking we'll need one more leader and we should be good.

I THINK we will have a lot of "tourist class" entries and I'm fine with leading a tourist group so that Franc and those who drive like him can (try to) push Nick thru the curves!

We DO try to limit groups to about ten cars - any more and you have too many to handle in the little towns and restaurants along the way. Gas stops get to be long as well... But fact is, you go with who you want to!

DONE EDITING NOW
Only thing I have to add is that during the meeting all the leaders are introduced. I'm normally in a Mercedes Hat with a drink or two in my hand.

Also you do not have to join a group. if you want to go out and explore on your own or found a group of people that are doing something else you're more than welcome to do that.

As of yesterday I am no longer a Crossfire owner :,( I have gotten a job as a project manager for a commercial construction company and I had a hard time fitting scaffolding and metal framing in the back of Little X... so I traded it in on a 2009 Silverado. I will still be attending the dragon but sadly without a car

Looks like 25 cars, three attendees will be showing up with no car. Smallish group but more intimate and friendly (less chance that newcomers will feel so lost)

And Micheal (SRQfun) is back on board - so our leaders so far are Me, SRQfun, 13dog and Pacemaker. This could work!

Congrats on the PM job. That can play out to be a challenging and rewarding career. Sorry about your car I know how much you loved it, but you will get another one later. I had to do the same thing years ago trading a Corvette for a truck when I got a PM job with a company that did not furnish company trucks. Sounds like you made a good decision. Make it pay off.

Shaun: Sorry to hear about your necessity to trade your "baby". I hope I never have to make that decision...however, I understand. Good luck on your new PM!.. Looking forward to seeing you at the Dragon...Carl (Myrtle Beach)

Instead of giving you a raise these days some places just give you a title and a box of business cards. That's the way to keep the slaves happy. LOL

Being a manager at McDonalds and joints like that means you get a buck more than the guy beside you, you do most of the work and get blamed for everything.

Find a dealer near you that will let you 'test' drive a Crossfire for the weekend. Problem solved.
