ALmost an inch of snow/sleet and at times, we had freezing rain. They say up to two more inches of ......... something will fall tonight.
I'm thinking I won't be going anywhere tomorrow, after two days off and being in the house all this time, Im ready to go to WORK.

About 80,000 out of power in GA now... somehow, my lights are still on.

I want SO much for that weekend to get here.

No ice on the Dragon....I would have thought at those elevations, there would be some slippery stuff...

I have to drive at least 800 miles in any direction to be that low.

How far are you from Oklahoma? Oklahoma City is about that high above sea level.

Well I almost sold the crossfire for a truck last week but everything fell apart... Guess God wanted me to have my car at the dragon and not a truck looking forward to seeing everyone soon and making another video!!

Glad you still have your Crossfire. You can borrow my truck anytime you need one but you won't like the MPG.

Mark,

Per the thread I posted the other day, there's a good chance I won't be able to attend this year. You don't necessarily have to remove me from the list, but I didn't book a room due to circumstances at work (new line launch in Russia).

I might make a guest appearance on Saturday, just depends. I'm certainly close enough, but six hours of driving (round trip) in a day's time might be a tall order.

Will let you know as we approach the date.

Cheers,

Cheers,
John,
Many of us would like to see you and I'm sure someone has a room with an extra bed for you to stay overnight.
Hope you can make it my friend

Gary, I appreciate the sentiment. Let me see if I can bust some kneecaps at work and get a Friday off

Just a suggestion to the folks coming from Tulsa. On your map, when you get to Memphis, take highway 72 to Muscle Shoals, Florence, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Cleveland Tn. the 64 to Fontana. This is a more scenic drive and from Cleveland you go through Occoee river basin (where the Olympic kayak events were held) with mountains the rest of the way and it is about the same distance.
BTW I live in Florence Al.

Same distance, but wouldn't that add hours to their journey?

One of the better runs in the area - IMHO.
