Understood! That is a pretty long haul.

Let me know if anyone wants to do that and I will recommend a few places.

Evan that would be great if all of us traveling long distances could all meet and stay at the same hotel by your house on Saturday night
That's what I am planning on doing already and hopefully even join you and the other locals for dinner Saturday night.
The we can all convoy to Rifle, Co. on Sunday to greet all the other guests.

Maybe you can just recommend one for all of us that isn't a lot of $$ and we can all make a reservation there

Super 8 shows $70.57 currently
Holiday Inn Express is quite pricey at $120
Hampton Inn and Suites is $93

All three of these hotels are within a mile of each other right off of the main highway in Parker.

It would be even greater if Evan would just let us stay at his house.

He's probably got room for some tents..

How about when it gets a couple months out.. do a priceline bid for 5 rooms or whatever we need. Joe Jett taught me well.. 4 star hotel.. complimentary breakfast buffet.. $45 for the stay.. If everyone can commit to it we could do it and square up at the motel.. They charge your card at the time of "accepted bid".

reading through all this, I can see when modding these cars can get in the way of long haul trips. I just did the math...1300 miles to Rifle CO. 2600 miles and we haven't toured the mtns yet. I would love to do the Keys as well, and that is over 2000 miles 1 way. I think I need a stock XF SRT6 lol. I have a lot of maintenance to do before I bite, to make sure we are able to make what looks like to be a 3000 mile x 2 trip with my sons... We will talk it over during the holidays to see if the Holliday's want to commit. They were the ones who bombed on my Carlisle trip, so I need to know they are serious. I can't complain on that trip as they were ill and gave it to me too...lol...but still a lot $$$$ to invest to have some fun and it would be beautiful and fun at the same time...and get to meet some old friends and make new friends. The boys have friends in Denver area, so they would branch off a day to go there as well...still planning and considering this trip as I enjoyed the St. Louis CAA so much...

Stated like an ole' truck driver Lorne...lol. No, it isn't the time, or the miles, we do that still today. It is dependability of all the mods we have done to both cars. I think they will be fine if we finish a few preventive maintenance issues, and pack a few tools...we are working on it truck driver...

Hi Larry . . . I'm afraid we are just too far off the beaten path to attract a reasonable number of participants down to our little paradise in the Florida Keys for a three day Get-To-Gether . . .

We had 5 cars on a local run last weekend and we were talking about this CAA .......... I made the Virginia City meet .................. everyone said they were interested in the Colorado meet so you never know maybe a bunch of us from the Great White North will make it down.

I think Carmen and I may try to do the Colarado trip. Need to put in new anti-freeze, but car otherwise is ready to go,I think.
