I just can not miss this opportunity to come back to the mountains and have some fun.
I spent many vacations out there years ago and I KNOW that this is by far is my favorite place to drive.
I will not miss this opportunity to spend time with my Crossfire friends in Colorado
OK now I'm interested to get a convoy established over the next several months as people commit.
This will be my route leaving from just west of Chicago
MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map
I intend to leave the Chicago suburbs in the morning on Friday July 4th, 2014
and make this a 2 day trip probably stopping Friday night in Lincoln, Nebraska (shown on map)
Then on Saturday I plan to continue on and arrive in Parker, Colorado to meet up with Evan (Itsky) and the other locals and stay the night somewhere near there.
Then Sunday morning I will join the locals for the final leg of this trip into Rifle, Colorado to get settled and greet the others arriving for this meet.
If your route can intersect with mine lets make it a Crossfire convoy to the mountains and set up a structure to meet along the way.
We have the time to do this so lets make it happen.
Contact me via a PM and if enough of you contact me I will create a separate thread where we can organize our route plan.

Ok folks! Our base city has been established. We are going to stay in Rifle, Colorado, which will give us access to a lot of unique areas in Western Colorado. Hotel information has been posted in the first post (https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post757761).

It is a long way off but we will be keeping it in mind. We had a great time at #2 when we were there and I would suspect it to be another one. Last time we headed NW after the event, maybe this time head SW. Round trip for us was just over 5000 miles and worth it.
