We will be leaving Florida on the 29th toward Colorado Springs. We will stop on the way when we feel like it. Arriving in Colorado Springs on the 2nd and then we are free spirits. Let the fun begin.

Bill, too bad that I will be way west of you. Maybe one of these days I will make it through that way. But thanks for the offer.

James

We are also leaving on Friday morning on I-88 to I-80 west.
I wish we could have met up with you both for part of this trip west but it is a little more than a 2 hour increase in our route plans for us to connect with you in Kansas City or 3 hours more for you to connect with us in Lincoln, Nebraska
These would be the 2 closest points to come together overall on the trip.

I'm glad you will be joining us in Englewood on Saturday afternoon/Eve though.
Looking forward to seeing you and Tammi again and we can at least travel the last leg of the journey into Rifle, Co. together on Sunday with the locals

Have a safe trip and we will see you next Saturday sometime

What form of communications (if any) is used for these gatherings, CB radio, HAM radio, Cell phone, or other?

Gary,

I have thought it over many times about meeting up with you guys in Lincoln. Just a little too far out of the way considering we have a lot of driving to do already. We will meet up with you on Saturday eve. Have a safe trip as well. I am ready to go!

Mostly FRS radios. Each group will pick their own channel.

Especially when you visit the Dragon you will need FRS. Very limited if any cell coverage.

Yes, bring FRS radios. You can pick up a pair for around $40. These will be very VALUABLE during our drives. Most all of us have cell phones, but there may be situations where there will be no signal in the highlands.
