My wife just informed me we will be in the air on the 5th of October on our way to Punta Cana...so we will NOT be attending the this year's fall Dragon. This will be the 1st time missing both Dragons. I have never missed a fall Dragon that I remember. But a promise is a promise. Maybe I will see some of you at the Carlisle event. Booking those rooms tomorrow....darn it...

Yes I know this is absolutely unreasonable but that's the final answer from the director of operations
This has been a strict policy for 5 years now and has been implemented by the owners of the property
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause some of our members but I tried to negotiate but was unsuccessful
Cancellation Policy
Reservations canceled more than 30 days in advance of arrival are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee
which will be retained from the deposit.
Reservations canceled within less than 30 days of arrival will forfeit the full deposit.
Please be aware that reservations that are shortened within the 30 day time frame will be charged for any days dropped.

Well, I called the Lodge and changed my reservation, looks like I will have a guest with me this trip!
(No big deal - so don't anyone reserve the Chapel for me or anything - one of the guys here at work is call curious about all of my talk about the Dragon weekends and he's gonna ride up with me.)
I had to move to a room in the lodge cause I needed a room with two beds... sure felt good to talk to them - they seem to have their act together, talked to a delightful lady who was "on it", and she made the changes with no trouble.
(No big deal - so don't anyone reserve the Chapel for me or anything - one of the guys here at work is call curious about all of my talk about the Dragon weekends and he's gonna ride up with me.)
