Well the Crossfire is Clean Detail from one end to other , Hay I always do this before we head out ,I do Red Cross Bag for the car because you just never know , I have MAF , and cam censors that I always put in car, may pick up a belt for a NA put in to and small set of tools to go with it all , and tire plug Kit can help too , any small parts that can get you out of a hole , Because I thank nearest Auto Store is in Alcoa Tn about 40 miles from Fontana (That has parts for Crossfire) just keep that in mind , For all coming from the west be safe , see ya soon , Ray

Nobody posting today hardly.

Everyone must be out by their car with a Clay bar

Me, I just finished my brake conversion, Cleaned and polished the wheels.

It's gonna rain tonite so I'll post postpone the final wash and wax.

BoilerUpXfire, you were right, the difference in braking is amazing.

I spent 7 hours with my car, detail, top treatment and restoring a bad, bad headlight lens.

It got oil change last weekend and tires and alignment about two-three months ago... I have some minor cosmetic stuff to do tomorrow and I guess the car is ready.

Everyone seems to be preparing in haste for the end of the week? I must admit this year I am more excited than ever to be attending. Got new rear tires and alignment last week and oil change. Wednesday and Thursday will be spent cleaning, clay bar, first time for this, but everyone seems to be doing it this year. Then McGuires wax, two coats, wheel brush, tire black. Just ordered some 303 for the top, hope it arrives by Thursday, never cleaned it before so it probably needs it. Then early start Friday morning, waterfall picture taking on the way , hope to arrive after lunch. Looking forward to catching up, meeting new pals and some great driving.
Andy

Don't worry everyone , I am OK and in good spirits all things considered.
My story goes a little differently though leading up to this coming weekend but I'm still coming and excited to see everyone.

My plans were to fly in anyway so the story here has no impact on my previous travel plans

SEE>>> Rear Ended with pics - No injuries but damage occurred

We're bringing 4 FRS radios and can loan 3 out, so if you need one, just track me down at the driver's meeting Fri night.

I thought I'd repost this.... time to get on the road if you live way out west, the rest of us will be leaving in the next few days. So I guess NOW it's "last minute"...

Motorola MH230R 23 Mile Two-Way Radio with 22 Channels, 121 Privacy Codes, NOAA Alert - Walmart.com

Most any FRS radio will do!

2) Join your local convoy to the Dragon:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...going-tod.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...y-atlanta.html

There are also some coming from Colorado/Missouri and I know there are a few coming from Texas and lets not forget the Florida bunch or start your own group!

3) I also bring a little compact lawn chair - sometimes you just want to pull over on the Dragon and watch the circus go by!

4) Remember everything else: Light jacket for those cool evenings, a video camera or at least a camera to capture the memories.

5) Send emails to all your co-workers and friends telling them you will be out of email/cell coverage most of the time and they are ON THEIR OWN while you enjoy the best weekend in years.
For those joining my little convoy to Fontana (and if you have not 'registered' with me in my thread, please PM me or post in my thread) - I will PM you my phone number this afternoon - if you don't get the PM, let me know!

I am carrying a spare Bosch CPS and drive belt (used) as well as a tire plug kit and the factory-standard air compressor - with only a very few tools.

I was not expecting a hell of a lot, but between the larger rotors/pads/calipers/SS lines it made one hell of a difference. They can handle heat a lot better than the OEM setup as well, but for you and I they won't get too hot, but work fantastically for stab braking...

The lodge may be deserted at that time, Carl.
If you see any of us out and about, turn around and follow us.

There is talk of a run to Franklin that day...
If not, I might do a skyway run...
or I may just play on the Dragon and Hellbender for a while...

In any event, people will be arriving at various times all day Friday (Except for us COOL KIDS, who will arrive THursday.)

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 06:48 AM.
