For those of you who have never been to the dragon but have wondered, I strongly suggest you go. While people talk of the twist's and turns, etc., it really is only part of the story. The area is a great place to experience scenic drives in your XF. You will also get to meet a great group of other owners with a variety of personalities. Don't worry about going to fast, the groups are broken down into various driving styles. You never know, you may very well find another vacation spot even w/o being with other XF owners.

And as Erzer said, even if you do not like spirited driving, some of the waterfalls and scenery around there are absolutely breathtaking....

The people, the laughter, the saturday night meal, the conversation, the wonderful fall colors.... it's so much more than tearing up the turns!
I also found out just how much I LIKE running thru the twists and turns - never thought that would appeal to a introverted ham radio geek like myself!
Whoever you are, what ever your interest in the car is... go to a Dragon. You will spend comparatively very little money compared to any vacation you take anywhere else - and have a great time doing so!
You, of course, get to meet me as well, and will understand why it's "Pizzaguy".
THAT will bring the crowds in!

NOTICE:
Beginning next year (2011) I will only be arranging a "FALL" Tail of the Dragon.
Fall is the prettiest time of the year for this event and with only one GTG here each year it will free up the "SPRING" for others to plan and/or attend meets other places.
I do hope to continue to see all of you each year at the FALL GTG.
We currently have 35 on the list for this Fall - Oct 1, 2, 3
I encourage anyone who has not yet committed to attending to really give it some thought.
This is a terrific GTG with some of the best people I have ever met.
Hope to see some new faces and all my good friends again for this 4th Annual Fall 2010 - Tail of the Dragon GTG

Since Carlisle happens in July, this is now becoming a major annual event for Crossfire gatherings. I know for folks like yourself that attended the Spring Dragon, CAA, Carlisle and plan to attend the Fall Dragon, it's fast becoming a very busy year. And it's alot of miles on the Crossfire for some folks.
Anyway, I'm very appreciative (as are others) of your efforts to-date for all of the events you've spearheaded for the group.
