Well it looks by far like the biggest GTG ever here in Fontana Dam.
Everyone has had a great time so far just getting together and comparing mods etc.
It's late and there are still a few die hards out and about on the lodge property but for this guy it's time to hit the sack and get ready for a kick as$ weekend with so many great people.

i wanted to thank everyone for the generous and warm welcome i received at the dragon today. so many awesome cars and everyone was just itching to burn up some highway. after a leasurly cruise in the moderatly aggressive group (slo pokes! ) maxicon and myself broke ranks and headed to deals gap. up into the dragon for 318 hard turns. averaging 40 in the curves and hitting 70 or so on the short shoots him filming and WOW!
special thanx to rudy and mr taz. epecially mr taz who took my gal for a ride in that v8 beast! i hear the car roaring up the drive and turn to look, and shes driving!! with a smile a mile wide she had the highlite of the day. thanx again! maxicon thanx for a fun filled day.

75 Crossfires at Fontana Dam for the photo shoot this morning made for some excellent pictures.
Everyone was checkin out the mods etc and Kenny shot hundreds of photos.
After some fantastic runs we all came back to let the tires and engines cool off and headed down for the BBQ.
It was awsome!!
We cooked up 144 huge burgers and 80 hot dogs and had all the good stuff to go with it.
Overalll an excellent day in the mountains under the blue sky and the bright sun with the cool air.

Tomorrow another day of the same kind of fun and the weather looks like it will be the same too !!

It's late once again tonight so some sleep now and another day to play tomorrow.

Now that you mentioned it...Tina and I were just watching it! Came out pretty good, too. I'll edit out the old ladies, the sick, the lame and the lazy and send it out.

A big thanks to Rudy C. and Paul P. I would not have come if it weren't for them. If you don't like me, blame them! A great pair of friends. Except for forcing me into a bottle of scotch. At least the hangover is...over.

I found (my GPS) a really nice 10 mile twisty on US28 on the way to Franklin NC. I thought I was lost, but it didn't lie to me. Got home ~ 10:10. 4 hours 03 mins. Damn, I love this car!
289 miles. Google maps says 5 hours 17 minutes for this route! No LEO's. But a full gaggle of jerks and lane hogs. But safe and sound. see y'all soon!

us129 has a prepay on the home page. the other 2 sites were shooting pics on the dragon. none of the sites has the film ready yet. it usually takes a week or so as the camera folks shoot thousands of pics every weekend. they shoot every car and bike that passes their station

I had a blast as expected meeting all the folks and putting a face with the name , this forum is really blessed to have so many true crossfire fans that enjoy each others company ,,,,,Rudy,Taz, Thanks alot for giving me and Jim (bigkid) the fever again that v8 is just totally sick , Here is a pic of the agressive group that Tom2112 lead ,,,made my day..

 

Roberta & I made it home without incident thsi afternoon. It was great seeing existing friends and making some new friends. We took Moonshiner 28 all the way back to Walhalla, SC and then onto Clemson, SC. I attached a few photos of waterfalls along the way, including one just 3-4 miles north of Highlands that has a pullover that allows you to drive & stop under it. Couple of great shots of the XFire "resting" under the falls.

Everyone be safe traveling home and we'll see you at next year's ToD GTG.
