I'm going to do a non-stop drive from NJ tomorrow morning so I'm expecting to arrive around 9pm. There doesn't seem to be anyone coming from the Northeast so it looks like I'm driving solo.

The Florence crew has had a nice late afternoon and evening here.
Those above in blue are here tonight and we all had dinner and several also enjoyed some adult beverages to kick off the weekend.

All in for the night and looking forward to the arrival of BoilerUpXFire and Jason_HBC in the morning to start off our convoy down to Fontana Lodge / Dragon.
Meeting Osofast2 in Corbin, KY and Pacemaker outside of Knoxville.

You are the founder of this great national meet which has grown significantly over the past couple of years.
I have enjoyed every minute since taking over the planning and intend to continue planning these meets here in the mountains for years to come.

Hey Gary, Yup I'll be attending to everything you got planned, just like a regular happy camper, I'll get there Friday mid afternoon, after my long 1.5 hr drive from Murphy & I'll be bedding down in the lodge until Sunday. It will be a pleasure not having to worry about anything (except my driving, of course ) & a big difference from the first 2 meets when I had to worry about everything. Yup, it will be a real pleasure indeed & to my surprise I get to enjoy it in one of the Honeymoon Suites, yup right at the main lodge, by the pool.

They were booked solid (no surprise) when I called this AM & spoke to Debby, they only had a Modular 4 blocks away, that was it, Nothing else at all, had her hold it. Much more crowded in early Oct instead of 4 weeks later. Well I called every 1/2 hour for a cancellation to come, before they gave it away & I snagged a two queen at the lodge a few hours later & I got our rate besides, a happy camper.

But then later when I was out, Debby called again & left a message that they would be putting me in a Honeymoon Suite (& "go find a New bride").jk Now I don't know what on earth I will do in there except sleep, by myself, but if someone would like to trade a regular room in the Lodge to enjoy it with their sweetie, please let me know, I'd love to.

It sure will be nice catching up with all the "Dragon" old-timers from two/three years ago & meeting so many new Dragon Slayers!

Just shot you an e-mail. Not going to make it this year, too much work and other issues that need to be handled to have the time or money to make it down. Which is really disappointing, but hey, life isn't easy, gotta make the best out of it.

Thirteendog and I had a nice run up the Dragon this morning. Cars washed and took another drive down 28. Some folks are out riding horses and did ziplining this morning. Looking forward to seeing everything this afternoon/evening.

Finally I'm on my way to the Dragon. Rained here for 5 days. Slowed me down making and installing my modified direct fit fiberglass side skirts. I'll have to wait to wire up the LED sideskirt lights another day. See Ya There!!! ... Squirrel Crusher

 

Got here Friday at 1pm, been thru the Dragon four times - had to let crotch rockets by twice, other than that - I had people moving over for ME!

(And JHM2K blew in here just before 9 pm, came in for the first time ever, thru the Dragon, in the dark!)
