Bob I brought my Grandson ,Last fall he was 12 and he had a blast ,we ran the dragon (not very agressive) the weather was crapy raining ,but he seemed to be having fun ,not sure how a 4 year old would fair they tend to get tired pretty quickly ,,,but It will be something to remember for years to come , when he tells his friends he run the dragon when he was 4,,,and it's fantastic bonding time,,,My grandson still talks about it from time to time ,i'm going to make sure he's with me there when he turns 16, if i'm still kickin and able to go....

You, Kim, Molly and I will get along just fine, that is some funny stuff right there LOL

Jim, glad you are coming, got any more room for a 235/30-20 and a 295/30-20 in case I need a shoe or two LOL

Everyone going to the Dragon has fun, and all are welcome, but it is definitely an adult trip. My Dragon consists of driving, drinking, and good friends. You know your son a lot better than anyone else, if he is finicky and easily bored, it is definitely not a trip for him, if he is very easy to deal with, it will be much easier LOL

Dependant on what you like to do. The adults stay up late in the lobby drinking some, laughing and talking (OK many drink more than some) If I had a 4 year old along it would mean either myself or my husband would be staying in the room as a 4 yr olds bed time is much earlier than the adults. Also I wouldn't want my child hanging around with the rowdy adults (translation drinking/drunk) I've "done my time" and spent more than enough evenings with the small ones so they could go to bed at a reasonable time. There is not an ice cube chance in he!! I would bring even a teenager to this. No thank you it's an adult activity IMO. That said people have brought slightly older kids along to this and to the Carlisle meet. Wasn't an issue to me or as far as I knew anyone else. They were late elementary school/middle school age.

"Romio Should I bring the beer bong for saturday night cook-out?"

I think one or two of the members are law enforcement officers.....not a good position to put them in........................how about buying us all a round of drinks instead????

Well, he is not the type that is easily bored, and does well on trips we have taken in the past. At his young age, he already loves CrossFires, so he will be in heaven. He is a bit of a computer geek as well, so as long as he has his IPod Touch, he will be fine.

Who's gotta bed available? Paul and I got Max Cichon talked into coming but he couldn't find a place to stay. Max missed last year so hopefully we can find a place for him so he doesn't miss this year.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Cleaned and waxed the scooter. Checked the tire pressure. Gassed the car. Programmed the GPS. Cigars in the travel humidor. Filled up the flask. Wine loaded into the wine carrier. Got a fat wad of cash. Topped off the lighter. Got out the cooler and luggage. Copilot stuffed the snack bag. I'm about ready to roll. Alll I need is clothes and the copilot and I'm cookin.

I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO EITHER PURCHASE OR BORROW OR BRING YOUR 2 WAY RADIOS FOR THIS WEEKEND ALONG WITH EXTRA ALKALINE BATTERIES.

THESE ARE A MUST FOR COMMUNICATION WHILE TRAVELING IN GROUPS THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND.

DO NOT RELY ON CELL PHONES AS THERE ARE MANY PLACES THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL .

Fontana Lodge has always treated our group well. I hope they consider the full booking reward for their previous efforts and continue to be good hosts and provide us a good time.

Tires on tonite, clean and prep Wednesday and pack for early Thursday lift off. Let the games begin....

Very good advice for everybody. We've been around the area and even in bigger town/cities, the service is sporadic. Sitting at lunch at the Biltmore I'd go from normal service with full bars to roaming with one bar all in the same spot.

Listening to some of the guests when at the lodge, even Verizon seemed to be in and out. I did remember to bring two, so I'll have one available for use for someone in whatever group I end up in

itsky - be safe. If you're going with Franc, he told me he is avoiding Nashville at all costs...don't blame him, he's had a lot of bad luck there with his XF.
