I'm going to try to ride with Valk's group...

I'm pretty ballsy behind the wheel, but I also have to take my passenger into consideration. She gets a little uneasy when the speed gets too crazy through the turns.

Having said that, I don't want to simply putter through the hills... I want to let the car stretch a bit.

New brake pads will be here by the weekend, and I'm upgrading to ATE Super-Blue fluid (Thanks Nick)

You know, a REAL friend would leave his girl back at the lodge to talk with the other ladies while he lets me ride right-seat thru the Dragon to see how it's done.

I'm, ah... just sayin.

lol last year when me and jediracer went on our 2 car ride after the saturday lunch and loop, we pulled back up to the lodge and my girlfriend damn near rolled out the car sick. It was funny, everyone was looking saying "is she ok" and my only reply was "yeah, we just tore up the dragon"

For the record, nobody that has ridden thru the Dragon with me has ever gotten sick.
Of course anyone who has see me drive , won't get in the car.

Have Molly coach her a little, she braces herself in the car certain ways, she says it is sort of like riding on the back of a wave runner and she quite enjoys it.

A real friend would go spend an evening looking at a car for you, oh wait, I did that

I am sure there are many out there who would be more skilled than I, but I would be happy to throw you through some turns, but you are the one who has to tell Molly

I just bought a multi-purpose tool and front license plate holder that was posted in the forum. I have no need for the license plate holder, so if anyone needs one, just let me know and I will bring it with me. No charge to a fellow Dragoner that can use it.

Which got me to thinking, it might be nice if others have items that they could bring that other members may need. I will look and see if I have anything else laying around that I can bring.

Thanks

Bob

Ii'm afraid Crumpy is gonna get caught without hers one day. I'll be the driver and get the ticket.

Now that I know how to mount it without drillin holes........... Yeah I could use one.

Trade you for few shots of Single malt or yeasty grape pressings.

If you're not down to the wear marks wait for sure, that way you can rip those old tires up at the dragon and get some new ones after you get back.

I thought about it but I really need to just replace mine. I love the way Gary's look & haven't been able to get them out of my mind since the spring Dragon. I'm guessing from his earlier post that he still really likes them. He probably put a good number of miles on them by now. They just look so beefy - I think I am going to pull the trigger this weekend. As Mark said - we are outta time for tires!!! You are the BEST for offering though!!!!

Did you not check Tire Rack? A set of four just a minute ago would run you $770 plus mounting etc. at an authorized installer for around $88 and they have a tpms (not available currently) for $31 each. I would print out the information on the DWS and go to a dealer or other shop and see if they will beat the prices.

I prefer the moderate group, especially if there are no "pedestrian cars" in the way.

If she wants to feel uneasy, have her ride w/Franc when he's feeling ballsy

I'll take the front license plate holder and I'll be more than happy to give you a few bucks for your trouble. Just let me know how much. Thanks, Pat

For the first-timers, don't forget to purchase and/or bring your FRS Radio(s) for communications. Helps a bunch to know what is going on while driving in a group.

If I omit the extra Depends, I'll have room for four of mine. Be happy to share.
