Check out the attached. Our 'Dragon Runs' should yield quite a bit of fall splendor.

I do not think anyone is coming from the place where you have the Northern most pin on the map. Hardly anyone lives there, is that the place on the map where the word Ontario was printed. If so then thats Lorne, from Ontario. Believe me he lives nowhere near that place, he would be coming with his sled dogs if he did. It looks like someone was playing stick the tail on the donkey
You have 3 pins for the Canadians and I think at least 6 are coming, we may lack in numbers but we make up for that in enthusiasm.

Ok, I removed the norther pin which represented Ontario. I have put pins in for the correct location in Ontario for everyone with the exception of the following which I could not locate a specific location:

Lorne - Ontario Canada
(Jerry) Ontario Canada

If someone can provide me with the city for these 2, I will get them added.

I added a pin in red for Fontana

Lorne is from London, Ontario.
Rusty is new to everyone, he's never posted since joining in July and nobody seems to know him.
So we rate five pins and I would guess Rusty is from around the Toronto area, just by area population.
Stick four more pins around the ones you have now and you will cover us all. None to the north of us though.

Don't forget V2addict (Angelo & Linda) from the Barrie area. I met up with them yesterday and they are really nice people. They will fit in very well.
Just sorry I won't be able to join you all.

Sorry about that. I did not forget them. Somehow, the pins for them got unchecked. Ok, I have 5 pins for Canada now. Just missing the one for Jerry. Thanks for the help.

We're going to be there the weekend prior and the whole of the week leading up to the event. I'll try to remember to leave the cabin and log on and give updates.

OK...I'm back from Dallas, Texas.
Flew down to play with the Crossfires at Texas Motor Speedway and hang with the friendly Texas folks for the weekend.
Great time we all had.

Anyway back to business here....
I have updated the list and I want to thank those of you who have posted here, phoned me and sent PM's to offer space in your rooms for those who are still scrambling for a place to sleep.
I think right now everyone coming has secured a room or cabin etc.
This is by far the largest GTG ever for the Crossfire community and we will make history if everyone attends !!

Just a few more weeks folks !!!

I hear ya. That is part of the reason I'm hoping to get some heated seats before too long, the wife might tolerate the top down a little more.

Just one little question on behalf of those who have never attended before, where do we eat?
Saturdays BBQ is not going to see us through the weekend.

There is a restaurant at the lodge though it is a bit expensive compared to the norm. Lunch will be while we are out driving around and at various places.

I'd suggest you eat breakfast each day at the lodge restaurant. Their buffet is pretty good. And keep in mind, you're staying in & around the Smokey Mountains at a resort-like lodge. Nearby eating establishments are few & far between. Hopefully the small diner/deli just below the lodge will be open.

But as Erzer stated above, we stop in Robbinsville on Saturday and Cherokee on Sunday for lunchtime meals. And both of these locales have all of the typical eateries you can choose from.

I know I'm gonna get a lot of grief for saying this publicly, but do yourself a favor, eat somewhere close by on the way in, that evening meal is really expensive at the lodge and I've got to say... it's never been quite the taste I was looking for.

Breakfast (at the fall 2009 Dragon) was a buffet style and was GREAT! But that evening meal - forget it... eat on the way in somewhere! The Saturday BBQ was also a big winner! And, as pointed out above, the noon meal was on the road somewhere, every day - no problem there.
