I thought it might be interesting to do a pin map of where everyone is coming from. I just started on it, but if anyone thinks this is a good idea, I will finish it in the next couple of days. I started out putting names on the pins and quickly found out that it would get too busy.

Don't worry about names..just add the pins.

A great idea to give us an idea of how far flung the forum is. (and to what lengths people will go to enjoy the company of compadre's).

I often feel the same way as I drive back home on Monday....just don't feel I had enough time to meet everyone but............
I will have a drivers meeting in the lobby at the lodge at 9pm on Friday night and try to take attendance and then will proceed to hand out route maps and a general itinerary for our weekend.
After this short meeting I encourage everyone to hang around in the lobby and out on the adjoining patio for meet and greet time.
On Saturday morning from around 10:00am until 11:30am we all park about 10 minutes away from the lodge at the Fontana Dam for our professional photo shoot taken by US129photo.com
This also provides time to mingle and look under hoods and compare mods etc providing it isn't raining. (Pray for the sun)
Then on Saturday night beginning around 6pm everyone is invited to attend the CICCI sponsored BBQ at the Chestnut room back on the lodge property.
This also provides some down time for everyone to mingle and say hello to one another.
Then later in the evening we generally proceed back to the lobby for some more late night conversation.
And of course for those who stay over on Sunday night... this is a time to reflect on the weekend and share stories with each other and often time to say....
See ya next fall !!
So make the most of these moments together and enjoy the rest of the weekend cruising the beautiful mountains of NC and TN

Valk~
Just want to say a big "THANK YOU" in advance of the event for all the work you do in making this gtg (and others) the successes they are. I've had Administrative Assistants that can't function as well as you. Thanks man, you make it easy for the rest of us.

Thanks all,
I enjoy planning it and your attendance and coming and having a good time is what makes it worth every minute for me!!
I realize that many if not all of you are using some of your vacation time for this and I want everyone to feel that they truly enjoyed it.

Valk- Put me on the list. If things work out I'm planning on attending this year. I'll have to find someone to share a room with. Look forward to seeing you all again.

I know you can't resist coming just to stay home and work for a few extra bucks.
Besides with Rapp's, msgump, Harbor and rvd4now all coming from your area how can you even think to pass this one up.
Now find a roomy and I'll see ya at the Red Roof Inn in Florence, KY. on Thursday night for the Dragon pre party and the Midwest convoy down to Fontana Dam on Friday leaving at 8am.

Valk- I asked Judy if I could room with her but she is not sure if she is going. Do you have a spare bed in your room at Florance KY?
