Got back around 7 last night. What's a 10 hour drive between friends?!? I had a great time! Zip lining with Dan & Nick was AWESOME! I can't imagine ever having better Dragon runs - no traffic, hardly any bikes and only 2 of TN's finest. Of course I had a very different experience with THP than everyone else did!!

I had a great time with everyone & can't wait until everyone gets their pictures posted. I think the only bad parts of the whole weekend were exploding pollen sacks & the bike accident on the Cherohola. Well Pat might add construction coolers to that list!!!

Tammi and I pulled in home Monday around 3:40 pm. Gary and I left Fontana just before 9am. Great drive home with Gary playing cat and mouse, made the time go faster! 5 days of perfect weather.

We had a great time seeing everyone again. Making new friends at every event. A big thanks to Gary for his time and effort to make things go as smooth as possible. Also thanks to CICCI for the great cook-out.

Left Dragon Campgrounds at 7:45 AM this morning, arrived in the campgrounds in Radford, Va at 2:00 PM. Will pull out in the morning arrive at Gettsyburg, Pa Leve there on Thur morning and arrive at our home for 3 months in New Haven, Ct

We had a great time at the Dragon and hope to see everyone at the fall Dragon run. Gary thanks for all the work you put into this meet to make it a success. And thanks to CICCI for the Sat. cook-out.

 

Thanks everyone for a wonderful weekend. Special thanks again to Gary and others who put the work in to make this happen.We got home around 5 Sunday afternoon. I took hiway 276 from Maggie Valley to Brevard and it was a great road. 34 miles of intense twesties.When the Flying Turtle finaly emerged she said find me an interstate now!

HCarter, Yes that was John Book and his wife Bonnie that ran with us on that smoaking run up the Dragon. There was a rumor floating around that you could hear thoes Crossfires snorting and screming for miles. Bonnie took a great video of that run with some good action of your car in the turns.

Had a great weekend at the Dragon as always. Daniela and I pulled into Pompano around 9 PM Sunday and you were right Kim we made it on one tank of gas with just a little to spare. Thanks to all for a wonderful time and especially Kim & Dan for Leading the way to Florida. Nick, I hope you are behaving yourself, don't wanna have to ground ya!!!!

One of the best Dragons.....EVER!!!! And, I didn't even run the Dragon this time after I sprained my ankle.......damn sidewalks!

I really loved this!

Roberta & I plan to attend in the Fall. We've already put in our vacation time for the St. Louis event in June. Hope to see old friends and make new ones during these upcoming events.

Dennis, we missed you and Roberta at the Dragon. You all were in our thoughts and prayers. Allen and Joanna drove up for the cook out on Saturday night and we stopped by their beautiful mountain home on the way back to Spartanburg. When you are ready, lets get something local going. Maybe try a cars and breakfast with a short foothills drive.Just let us know.

Hello all
I got back to Aurora, Ill at 7:15 tonight.
My first stop was the spray wash. My Crossfire is completely detailed and back in my garage at 8:00 cst.
I logged 2000 miles in just 5 days....530 of them between arriving at the lodge Thursday and leaving this morning.
Thanks to all who came to this Spring GTG.
It was nice meeting new people and seeing friends who returned for some more fun in the mountains.
We had a total of 25 Crossfires which is considerably less than usual but I'd have to say I had the most fun at this GTG.
I say this mostly because we found new roads and twisties that were actually much more fun than the Dragon itself.
Some called these other roads "the baby dragon"

Thanks for all the replies here as well.
I'm happy to know everyone had a good time.
Thats what these meets are all about.
I will load my pics to my gallery soon and post a link in this thread.

Allen and I wanted thank every one for their hard work at the BBQ .Thank you Gary for calling and asking us to come.It was so great to see everyone and to meet some new friends.Also what fun it was to have yous stop by our little Mt. home Sunday.Gary send me some pix.We sure did miss our friends who did not make it this year.Glad everyone made it home safe.Allens roadster was to be done Monday but NOT! Can not wait for the fall .Allen hopes to have what he told yous sunday about ready for the fall dragon,We will bring plenty. To our Spartanburg gang just call and we will be there!
