Saturday’s daytime is pretty set. Recommend gathering at Motel 6 around 2:00 PM (need to socialize) and drive to Babe’s as a group at 3:00 PM – the tour should be over by than. One of us can get to the restaurant a half hour earlier to give our name. Gives us plenty of time to leave around 5:00 PM to go to the track and line up like last time (maybe organize the cars for faster in the front and slower in the back). Plenty time for picture taking.
Okay… now we need to find entertainment for all our “out of Towner” friends.
Any ideas what we can do for Saturday evening? Char (you’re the entertainment queen)?
We have at least ten crossfire’s here for the weekend. Any thoughts anyone?

OK GUYS....I"m coming from Chi-town for this one.
Yup I'm buying a plane ticket and flying into Dallas (DFW) on Friday evening. (Sept 25th)
I'm gonna watch the airfares over the next few days and book a flight by next Wednesday.
Dan (danimal) will be picking me up at the airport and we will be sharing a room at the motel Friday and Saturday nights.
Count me in for everything except of course "the running of the Crossfires" as mine will be in my garage back here in Chi-town all weekend.
I'll be riding shotgun on the track with danimal and shooting the video footage for his laps.
As for us coming from out of town we would love to spend some time after the events on Saturday just hanging out with ya all so hope ya guys are up for it.
I'm flying out on Sunday early afternoon so a Sunday breakfast or brunch would be cool if any of ya locals want to gather again on Sunday morning.
Regardless of what we all end up doing I'm excited to be coming and meeting even more new faces.
I'm hooked on these Crossfire meets and know even without my Crossfire there I'm gonna have some fun !!!
See ya, Gary

We will probably have to have two groups any way you look at it but we surely need to have the people that will not hold back in the front no matter what.

Inferno, not coming with car this year, going to work on next year...I am looking at my schedule, since that time of year my company is right in the middle of seed corn harvest, and may not let me go...with that said, weather could play into this, so I really won't know until closer to your track time...would love to do it, but really the wrong time of year for me...but Valk is tugging really hard...LOL

If we put a few of the faster cars up front in each group, they still will hold the field back due to catching the rear of the field within two laps slowing all of us down in the meantime.

Yep, that was my intent in the original post that there will be two groups. The Need For Speed Group is for those that want to push them to the maximum speed they'll let us drive and the Track Experience Group for those that want to drive the track without leaving a spot on the seat. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough about that in the original post. I'm sure we can sort out who wants to be in what group before they line us up.

Hello All, looks like we are going to make the Laps Run after all.
Please put us in the "Need For Speed" group if there is still an opening.
Hey Joejet, are you and Jon going down together? We could caravan down with you if you're going down early Saturday A.M.
Later, Smfry

Any other Okies care to join us? The more the merrier!
BTW - we are probably up to 50+ people, probably more by lap day -- has anyone checked to see if Babe's can handle that?
