I ran into a nice guy with a red convertible yesterday at the car wash. He may join the site and join us at TMS. He hadn't heard of our site but was very interested.

While talking to my insurrance man, I found out he owns a XFire. I told him about this, said he may join us, never know when you're going to meet a fellow XFire owner.

Hey Gals and Guys, Wives and Hubbys, Significant Others, especiallys Dan and Eric, and everyone else involved, I want to give my sincere thanks to everyone involved in getting this off the ground and making my magic dream of 50 come true. Especially for the childrens charity for which this is all about, $1500.00 ++++ is certainly something to be proud of. CROSSFIRES RULE, and owners/drivers make them move.

Running Of The Crossfires Ii - 05-12-2009 , 08:06 PM

Never too early to plan. The Texas Motor Speedway next Children's Charities event for 2009 is scheduled for 26 September at the TMS. Let's shoot for 50 cars in Sept. Make your plans now and keep checking for updates. Infernoredxfire, nominate you to honcho this as you did such an outstanding job for the 9 May event. We certainly have to get more Crossfires than SMART Cars. heehee

Thanks to the help of Midlife, I have updated the itinerary attachment to the original post. Thanks Steve!

I can not emphasize this enough. Due to all the road construction in front of Babes, I highly recommend everyone meet at Motel-6 to caravan over to Babes to help avoid parking problems.

I'm a new Crossfire owner (for just a few weeks now) and was wondering if it's too late to sign up? Or do I just need to show up? My wife & I'd just be coming up for the day...

Steve & Laura, welcome! Congrats on your new Xfire. No, you are not too late. You are welcome to join us for lunch at Babes or catch up with the group at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I was just looking at the group shot of 15 Crossfires from last time and rembering how long that took to figure out. Can't wait to see a group shot of 50!

We need to do the photo outside the gates in the large parking lot, this will give us much more room.

I'm bringing my wide angle lens Camera !!!
Also my
Flip Video Camera for some fast track action in high digital quality in an mpeg format.

Give me a ride and I'll give you an outstanding video on youtube.
I will also bring my laptop PC and burn a CD with your own video file.

You can ride with me and check out the Vogtland/KYB set up along with some MB/Brembo stopping power. The exhuast sound will be to your liking as well.

Hey Eric- any luck getting the local newsies to come out to the motel to cover the event? It would be some excellent publicity for your place and for the charity.

I'm expecting some media to come out since the motel just opens up and we are the only LEED certified motel (economy segment) in the United States. We are totally green - no, not the color . Anyone interested... I'll give you the grand tour
